Frito Boat Friday at the student store after school today!

A representative from Oklahoma University will be on campus today, Sept. 12th during 4th period in the library. Oklahoma has excellent programs in Ag. Science, Vet Science, as well as Education and Engineering. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.

ALL vehicles parked on campus MUST have an NHS parking permit. Students must park in the lots west of the Administration Office. Pick up your application in the Activities Office.

Students...if you are credit deficient, and need to make up credits...Adult Education classes will be starting at Nipomo High School in the library computer lab from 3:00 - 5:00. The first class is this Tuesday, September 16th. See your counselor if you are interested...

Clubs and Classes

The Film Club will meet today at lunch in Mr. Pepo’s room 40B. Aspiring actors, writers and directors are wanted!

Ultimate Frisbee is today! Come and join us on the athletic fields at 3:00 to show off your game. Mr. Hogeboom, the LMUSD Superintendent, is our guest athlete of the week. All skill levels and abilities are welcome.

Deadline to sign up for Renaissance is today! Applications are available in the counseling office.

Community Service

Wanted! Students to help at the October Fest on October 11th. What we need are 2 to 4 people to help with the little kids scavenger hunt. The hours could be either 11:00 -1:00 or 11:00 to 3:00. Check in with Mrs. Teixeira to get on the list.

Be a Big Brother or Sister to a Nipomo Elementary School student this year and enjoy sports, crafts and games each Friday from 3:30-4:30, while earning community service hours. Volunteering looks great on college and job applications and Big Brothers Big Sisters provides letters of recommendations. To find out more, stop by their table on the quad today when their friendly staff will be on campus passing out applications and answering any questions.

Splash Café is looking for student volunteers for the Pismo Beach Clam Festival on October 18 and 19. The job includes serving customers and handling food. Shifts are from 9:30am – 1:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Contact Sara Dahl at 773-0539.
