General

Did you return your emergency card? If you have not turned in your emergency card to your second period teacher by Thursday, that is tomorrow, you will be assigned Saturday School.

Planning on dressing up for Halloween? Wear your costume to school but remember, no masks, no weapons (real or fake), and all costumes must meet dress code.

What’s the scariest thing about Halloween? It marks the last day to buy your 2015 yearbook for $65 with an ASB sticker and $70 without. Buy yours today in the Activities Office or online at Jostensyearbooks.com.

Attention students: Planning on going to college but have a few questions? The Community Foundation of San Luis Obispo is presenting College Night. All SLO County high school students and parents are invited! Talk to reps from various UC, CSU and community colleges. The event is Monday, November 3rd from 5:00pm-8:45pm at the SLO Cuesta Campus, Student Center rm. 5401 and the Cultural and Performing Arts Center. Visit the Counseling Department for details.

Clubs and Classes

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) meets today at lunch in room 117. Everyone is welcome to come.

Hey Key Clubbers! Have you paid your membership fee? If not, remember to pay them before November 15th at the Activities Office.

Juniors and Seniors: Marine Sgt. Christopher Aldape will be in the Forum during lunch on Thurs., Oct. 30th. He will be providing valuable information about the NROTC. Stop by and hear about all of the wonderful things the NROTC has to offer.

Do you still need to take your Health class? There will be an Independent Study Health class this spring semester if enough students sign up. See your counselor if you are interested.

Don’t miss NHS Theatre’s The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940! Full of mystery, murder and comedy, it's guaranteed to keep you befuddled and laughing all the way home. Join us Friday October 31st and Saturday November 1st. Check posters for details.

Seniors

Hey Seniors! Want to go tour multiple colleges with AVID? If you said yes, dress in appropriate college attire tomorrow (no mascots please) to be entered in a drawing to win seats on our overnight trip in November!

Community Service

It’s not too late to be a mentor this year with Big Brothers Big Sisters! With just one hour a week, you can make a difference in the life of a child while having fun too! Become a High School Big Brother or Big Sister to a Nipomo Elementary School Little and share activities that you already like to do, such as: shooting hoops, playing games, or crafting. The program takes place each Friday after school, 3:30-4:30, at Nipomo Elementary. Feel free to come this week or next week to check it out!

Sports

Interested in trying out for the Titan Cheer Squad? Come to room 129 at lunch today to learn about try outs for basketball season!

There will be a Boys Basketball info meeting today at lunch in the gym. Everybody interested in trying out for Freshman, JV and Varsity Boys Basketball should attend this meeting. Grab your lunch then head to the gym!
