General

Congratulations to the students and staff of the month for February! Freshman Josh Buchan, Sophomore Luke Willenius, Junior Vanessa Davis, Senior Kylie Rodriguez and Staff Mrs. Ferlyn.


Basketball Fans! The 3 - on - 3 Tournament is over, and the winning team is Savage Form, consisting of Luke Nickelson, Freddy Ruiz, Matt Ramsey and Harry Labastida...


Nickelson got hot from the 3 point line to clinch the victory over Luke Wilenius, Kyle Lane, and Trevor Small. Overall, a great tournament, and be looking for the winning team to be sporting their championship T-shirts around campus soon!


Super Powers! Glow! Get pumped for this year’s spring time rally and spirit week March 22nd through the 27th! The spirit days areeee…..

Attention all Students. There is a Booster Membership Drive 3/30-4/13/2015. For every Booster membership brought in, you will get an entry ticket for a free lunch that will be delivered to you during lunch at school. Membership forms will be distributed by your teacher during 2nd period today”.


The Peeps Diorama contest is going strong in the library and Tuesday will be the last day to submit for submissions. If you really want to make a diorama but do not have the supplies, go see Mrs. Matsuura in the library and she'll hook you up.


Tutoring is available Monday through Friday in the Library from 3:00 to 4:00.


Students! Do you want to be a "Best Buddy" for the Special Olympics on May 1st at Cuesta College? The come to the meeting at lunch on today in the Forum. This is a great experience for you and our Fantastic Special Athletes. Don't forget to order your T-Shirt at the activities office by April 2nd. T-shirts are $10 and will be on sale beginning March 16th until April 2nd. Please see Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office to pay and leave your size. Shirts will be delivered the end of April.


Camp Hapitok is a residential summer camp at Rancho El Chorro for SLO County children with speech and language disorders. If you are interested in dedicating a month of summer vacation to be the best friend and teacher to a Hapitok camper you can pick up an application in the Counseling Office. Applications are accepted through April 1st or you can also apply online.


EPIC (Engineering Possibilities in College) is a 1 week summer camp at Cal Poly. You will explore the world of engineering in a hands-on lab, tour local engineering companies, and build and test your own engineering project. Applications are due by April 15. See Mrs. Furlin in the library for brochures and information.


Clubs and Classes


Juniors! The deadline to sign up for the SAT test is April 6th. Sign up at www.collegeboard.org


Do you like getting the "inside scoop"? Being in "the know"? Join The Titan newspaper staff next year and interview people of interest, write stories, take photos, draw cartoons, and use professional publishing programs to create The Titan newspaper. If you're interested, pick up an application from your counselor and turn it in by the end of the month to Ms. Jenssen in room 112.


Upward Bound is now accepting applications for the 2015-16 school year and its six week summer residential program! If you want help getting prepared for college, studying for the SAT’s, visiting college campuses and making lifelong friends pick up an application with your counselor, or with Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office today!


Don’t miss Drama’s performances of Decision Height on Friday at 7:30pm and again on Saturday at 2pm in Olympic Hall.


Seniors

Grad Night tickets are on sale now through April 17th. Purchase them from Mrs. Teixeira for $73! Prices will go up after April 17th to $80. The first 100 people to buy their tickets will receive a free ticket to the drama performance Frog and Toad.


Seniors-Senior shirts and sweatshirts are on sale NOW! Shirts are $10 and sweatshirts are $20. Pick up a form from your Gov’t or Econ teacher or on the Activities Office Counter. Last day to purchase shirts and sweatshirts is Friday, March 27th.


Community Service


Looking for volunteers to help at the Nipomo Recreation Kids Day event on Saturday, March 28. Community service hours available from 8-3pm. Please call Nancy at Nipomo recreation at 929-5437 to get on the list of volunteers for that day.
