General


Get ready Titans for Love Out Loud week! Take the time each day to appreciate those around you starting Monday by buying a kindness gram for a friend for only $1. Come to the Quad at lunch today to make a free kindness bracelet!


Don’t forget to dress up for kindness week!
Monday wear pink to represent “giving.
Tuesday be “positive” and wear Yellow
Wednesday celebrate Earth day and wear green
Thursday wear blue to represent “friendship”
Friday wear red to represent “take a walk in someone else’s shoes”
Also be sure to join us on the Quad for a week filled with events to help spread Kindness!


Tutoring is available Monday through Friday in the Library from 3:00 to 4:00.


Are you interested in learning more about working in a health care setting? Then join the Volunteen Program. Pick up your application in the Counseling Office. Application deadline is Friday, May 8th.


Clubs and Classes

Juniors and Seniors: A representative from the Navy ROTC will be on campus this Thursday, April 23rd. He will be on the quad at lunch and also be giving a presentation in the forum during 5th period. Come hear about all of the opportunities the ROTC has to offer, including full college tuition and benefits worth $180,000. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.


Seniors


There will be a mandatory Senior Meeting during 3rd period on Tuesday, April 21st. It is NOT an option – you MUST be there. Check in with your teachers first


Hey Seniors! DO you have an amazing talent? If so, and you would like to display that talent, then come try out for Senior Showcase on May 14th in the Forum after school. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. McConnell.


If you are planning to attend Allan Hancock College next year the following information is incredibly important ---The NHS counseling department is providing Registration & an Online Orientation for seniors to make their transition to Hancock smoother. Seniors will have two opportunities to sign-up for the registration & online orientation: either April 22nd OR April 24th. Students MUST sign up for one of these days in the counseling office. NHS will also offer START placement testing. More information to come. Remember, priority registration for fall 2015 classes begins May 13th. Make sure you have everything done prior to this date. See Mr. Hubbell or Mrs. Lewis if you have any questions.


Attention College Bound Seniors! Please give copies of any and all acceptance letters you have received from colleges or universities to your Gov’t/Econ teacher by Friday, April 24th. These letters will be posted around NHS to promote your high school achievement. Titan Pride!


Seniors! Are you excited to go to Six Flags? Tickets are on sale now in the Activities Office for $80.


If you pre-ordered your cap and gown or any other graduation items from Jostens, please note that they will be here on Monday the 27th at lunch to distribute pre-paid orders.


Community Service


Anyone in need of community service hours, contact Coach Edwards. The Leo Club will be providing many opportunities for community service within the next few months.
