Attention all awesome public speakers! The Five Cities Optimist Club is sponsoring an Oratorical Competition on Sunday, March 19. The speech topic is "What the World Gains from Optimism." Cash prizes will be awarded and two top winners will move on to the district level with a chance to receive a $2,500 college scholarship! The application deadline is March 3rd. See Mrs. Carter in the office for details.

Seniors! Are you going to Cuesta College next year? Remember, the Cuesta Promise Scholarship will pay for ALL of your tuition and fees for your first year! Free College? Yep! The Cuesta counselors will be here today to help you register for Cuesta, the first step in receiving the Cuesta Promise Scholarship. They will be here from 8:00 -11:00. Stop by the counseling office to sign up for a spot. Make sure you know or have your social security number with you if you want to sign up! Go Cuesta Cougars!

If you need to accrue some hours of community, please sign up for opportunities to do so on the clipboard outside of Mr. Meloncon's office. There are opportunities to work as a food bank volunteer, Tutor for elementary students in Guadalupe, or be a Mentor buddy for an elementary student at a Nipomo area elementary school. Direct any questions to Mr. Meloncon in the counseling dept.
