Do you want to be part of Nipomo High School’s first Beautification Day? Sign-ups will be the week after Spring break on the Quad. Come and join us on April 26th to earn community service hours and get a free lunch!

Any students interested in taking summer school must pick up an application in the counseling offices. Summer school is June 23-July 31st from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Summer school is offered on AGHS; however transportation will be available from NHS to the AGHS campus. Students are welcome to schedule appointments with their counselors if they are questioning which courses they should take over the summer. Appointments can be set-up in the counseling offices. For priority registration, summer school applications are due by May 23, 2014.

Mock Rock and Talent Blast Music Festival is this Saturday, April 26th on the Frontier Stage at the Paso Robles Event Center. Doors open at 4:30 and show starts at 5:00. Come watch our very own Nipomo Dance Company and NHS Choir, The Royals, compete. Tickets are available through

Clubs and Classes

GSA meets every Tuesday in room 135.

Film Club meets every Tuesday in room 40B.

If you are interested in becoming a student ambassador for the SLO Land Conservancy to help create the Pismo Preserve and have an opportunity to earn lots of community service hours, talk to Jensen Severance or Cooper Merrill.


Did you ever have Mrs. Foreman as an elementary teacher? Will you continue your education after High School? If so, come by the counseling office and pick up a Dorie Foreman scholarship application. Applications are due April 25th to Mrs. Lattimer.

Attention Seniors: If you are involved in the arts and will continue with it on to college, come by the counseling office and pick up the Nipomo Arts Commission Scholarship Application!

Community Service

School Readiness is looking for student volunteers during the Summer to work 6 hours per week at the Oceano location. Duties include working with toddlers and preschoolers, reading, singing, drawing and other activities. See Mrs. Carter in the office for more information.
