Happy National Caramel Day Titans! Come out to the quad at lunch to get your free caramel surprise!

Reminder - After school tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-4:00 every Monday - Thursday.

Manhattan Rooftop Prom tickets go on sale today! Prices are $45 with an ASB card, $50 without. Prices after Spring Break will be $55 with ASB and $60 without, so don’t wait until the last minute to get your tickets! Prom is April 29th.

Want to win free Prom tickets? Then listen up Titans because we are holding a competition for the best Promposal! Send in videos of your Promposal to the NHS Instagram account for a chance to win those free Prom tickets! Deadline is April 12, so start asking!


It's time for our library’s 4th annual Peeps Diorama Contest!! Prizes included gift certificates to In-N-Out Burger, Regal Cinemas, and Barnes and Nobel. All entries are due this Friday, April 7th. Stop by to talk to Mrs. Matsuura in the library for more information.

Remember that we rise by lifting others. The Blood Drive signups are this Thursday and Friday on the quad. The drive will be on April11th. Don’t forget to sign up!

Please wear your higher education gear this Thursday and every Thursday! Higher education includes college, military, and any other educational program after high school. You are allowed to wear mascots as long as the name of the organization is visible as well.


Clubs/Classes

Join Project Teen Health's Club tomorrow in the library during lunch. Try out some healthy food and sign up for the upcoming events. New members always welcomed.

Attention ETS students: There is a lunch workshop today in room 130 for seniors only. If you have a question or need to see your ETS advisor, stop by her office at the Career Center. Today is also the last day to submit your permission slip for Saturday's field trip to Cal Poly's Open House. ETS seniors, see you at lunch in room 130.

Cal Poly Upward Bound pre-college program applications for new applicants, returning participants and for or 6 week Summer Academy are due Friday, April 7th. Need an application or have questions? Email Kari Leslie at [email protected]

Friday Night Live meeting today at lunch in room 126. If you want an opportunity to meet cool people and have a positive impact on your community, stop by and get ready to make a difference. See you for FNL in room 126.

Attention all 10th graders: We will be offering the ACT Aspire test (which is a practice ACT test) here at NHS. Please stop by the Activities Office to register... the test costs $35 and scholarships are available. The last day to register is this THURSDAY... Hurry, space is limited! See Mrs. Kia or Mr. Hubbell with questions.

Have you ever wanted to wear PJs or bring a blanket to school? Well, all renaissance students – congratulations! On April 7th during 1st and 2nd period you can! Join us at our Renaissance Breakfast in honor of our achievements.

It’s that time again! Special Olympics! The Special Olympics will be held on May 5tth. Please come support your Nipomo athletes if you are free!
If you are interested in purchasing one of our shirts to support the students of room 200, please see Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office. Add an additional $1 for additional X on sizing. Shirts go on sale April 3rd through April 12th!


There is still time to pre-order your 2017 yearbook! Supplies will be limited at the end of the year and the price will go up. Order yours today in the Activities Office...prices are $75 with an ASB sticker, $80 without.

Juniors! Have you taken your SAT Test yet? The deadline for the May 6th test is April 7th, which is right around the corner. Go to collegeboard.org to register. See your counselor for additional details.






Seniors

SENIORS- Be sure to get your 20 hours of community service completed soon. Your hours must be complete in order to participate in Senior Activities—this include the Senior Trip too!

Many scholarships are due soon, so go to nhstitans.org under Academics and click Scholarships OR check your LMUSD email address for more info.

There are currently 39 tickets left for Grad Night at Universal Studios. Get yours soon for $85 in the Activities Office.


Community Service


Saturday April 8, 2017 is the Nipomo Recreation Association’s
Annual Kids Day in the Park. If you need community service hours, please contact Jeff Long at 805-215-9295, or come by the office which is located in the gym now, or email him at [email protected]. If you want to help with the Easter Egg hunt set-up, see Ralph Hernandez at the baseball field at 9am.
