General

Do you want a chance to be part of our Senior Sendoff rally? Come on down to the ASB room on Monday the 22nd to audition as an MC or to sing the national anthem.


All library books (not textbooks) are due back to the library this Friday, May 19th. Please have everything turned in and fines paid so you can participate in yearend activities.


A new ASB Do You Know What You Owe list, as of 05/17/17, has been posted in the Activities Office Window. Please pay any outstanding debts as soon as possible so you will be able to participate in all the fun end of the year activities.

Please check with the Library and Cafeteria to see if you have any debts with them and take care of that as soon as possible.

Reminder - After school tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-4:00 every Monday - Thursday.

Attention! Our annual Boat Regatta competition is near! Get your packets from Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office. Packets will be due May 24th.


Clubs/Classes

Attention all incoming AP World History students… There will be a mandatory meeting at the start of lunch and/or after school on Tuesday and Thursday in room 114 to discuss course expectations and to assign summer work. Please attend at least one of these meetings.

Join Project Teen Health's Club today in the library during lunch. Try out some healthy food and sign up for the upcoming events. New members always welcomed.

Attention AP students: now that testing is done, your AP textbooks need to be returned to the Library ASAP.

Calling all dancers and wanna-be dancers: Dance Company auditions are coming up! Girls audition is Thursday May 25th and guys audition is Friday May 26th. You can pick up an application from Ms. Belo in the Girls Locker Room or in Room 103

There is still time to pre-order your 2017 yearbook! Supplies will be limited at the end of the year and the price will go up. Order yours soon in the Activities Office...prices are $75 with an ASB sticker, $80 without.

Join #Bstronglife Campus Club today at lunch…new location at the Forum….free pizza, prizes and, best deal of all, we have fun! See you at the Forum.

Calling all Frisbee fans…We will be playing Ultimate Frisbee this Friday at 3:00 on the athletic fields next to the girls’ softball diamond. Bring water, running shoes and a desire to run!


Seniors

Seniors! You will be recording your audio senior dedications in your Government or Econ class on May 23rd and 24th. If you do not have a Gov or Econ class, please pick up a senior audio dedication form on the Activities Office counter today! If you do not have a Gov or Econ class, you will record on May 24th during lunch.

Seniors! If you would like to perform at Senior Showcase, signup today in the Activities Office! Auditions are this Friday, May 19th at 3:00 pm in the Forum. Have a performance ready whether you are singing, dancing or you have any other talents. See you there!


If you recently pre-ordered and paid in full for your Josten’s order, another shipment has arrived. Please come to the activities office to pick it up. If you have not ordered your cap and gown, pick up an information card in the Activities Office.


SENIORS-there are a handful of scholarship opportunities still available from our local donors. Check out our website for the Nipomo Rotary, American Legion, NHS Boosters, Farm Supply, Associated General Contractors, Santa Maria General Contractors, LGBTQ+, and more. Many deadlines are in the next three weeks so get some money for college or your vocational trade NOW!


SENIORS- Be sure to get your 20 hours of community service completed soon and all debts (library, textbook, Activities, cafeteria). Your hours must be complete in order to participate in Senior Activities. This include the Senior Trip too!


Community Service

If you need to accrue some community service hours, please sign up for opportunities to do so on the clipboard outside of Mr. Meloncon's office. There are opportunities to work as a food bank volunteer, tutor for elementary students in Guadalupe, or be a mentor buddy for an elementary student at a Nipomo area elementary school. Direct any questions to Mr. Meloncon in the counseling department.



Sports


All Track and Field athletes, you need to RETURN your UNIFORM today to Coach Rucker. Uniform turn in will be during lunch at the back of the Forum by the Coke Machine. On Friday, uniforms not turned in will be charged to your account.


Anyone interested in trying out for next year's Nipomo High School Cheerleading team please complete the tryout packet and online application ASAP. If you need a packet please visit Ms. Leek in her PE office, or you can download one online at nipomocheer.com. Go Titans!
