A new ASB Do You Know What You Owe list, as of 05/30/17, has been posted in the Activities Office Window. Ceramics and athletic fines have been added. Please pay any outstanding debts as soon as possible so you will be able to participate in all the fun end of the year activities.
Please check with the Library and Cafeteria to see if you have any debts with them and take care of that as soon as possible.
Teen's Closet is open today from 12-4 in Room 142. Students are welcome during lunch and after school.
Clubs/Classes
Tomorrow is the last Project Teen Health club meeting in the library during lunch. We will be brainstorming ideas for healthy changes to the campus for next school year. If you have any thoughts, we would love to hear them. Food will be provided.
All grades may pick their Yearbooks starting today at the Activities Office windows ONLY at break and lunch. All yearbooks are now $80.
Yearbook has plastic covers and autograph sections available for $3.00. Please come at break or lunch to buy yours.
Juniors and Sophomores...
For the 1st time ever, there will be an SAT test offered in August. It will be on Saturday, August 26th, which is the 2nd weekend we are back to school. The deadline to apply is July 28th, which is during summer vacation. See your counselor for help on signing up, or register at collegeboard.org
Seniors
Seniors who are going to Cuesta next year! The Cuesta Orientation is tomorrow, Thursday June 1st.The vans will be leaving at 8:30. You will leave Cuesta with your fall schedule in hand if you have completed all of the proper steps. Sign up for a spot in the counseling office. See Mr. Hubbell or Mrs. Kia for more details.
Seniors - All textbooks must be returned, and all fees and debts must be paid by this Friday, June 2.
Another Josten’s graduation items shipment has arrived. Please come to the activities office to pick yours up. If you have not ordered your cap and gown, pick up an information card in the Activities Office.
SENIORS-there are a handful of scholarship opportunities still available from our local donors. Check out our website to get some money for college or your vocational trade NOW!
SENIORS- Be sure to get your 20 hours of community service completed soon and all debts (library, textbook, Activities, cafeteria). Your hours must be complete in order to participate in Senior Activities.
Community Service
For students wanting earn community service hours over the summer, The Nipomo Foodbank (Womensade) will provide you with a chance to volunteer at their monthly food distribution day at Nipomo Elementary School. You can also earn hours volunteering to tutor students attending elementary summer school. Flyers with info on days for the foodbank and forms to sign up as a tutor are available outside Mr. Meloncon’s (Mal-lan-san) office in the Admin Bldg.
Sports
Would you like to be part of a championship cross country team? Then come to the lunch meeting Thursday in the gym and see what it's all about! All levels welcome, boys and girls! Meeting starts at 12:15-see you there!
There will be a Girl’s Soccer meeting after school this Thursday at the back field soccer locker to discuss summer soccer. Last chance to return uniforms, and to pick up patches. If you're unable to attend the meeting, please return uniforms to Mrs. Teixeira in Activities Office or to Coach Schroter at New Tech.
