General


If you are driving to school and have not purchased a $15 parking pass, please do so. Parking tickets are $20. Get your application in the Activities Office. Reminder:
Student parking is in front of the gym.


The NHS After School program is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. After School Tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-5:00 pm and an evening meal will be available to all who attend. A late bus will depart NHS, making stops at 601 Division, Dana Elementary, Idyllwild & Winterhaven and AGHS. More after school offering will be announced as they become available.


Clubs/Classes

Attention ETS students: There is an after school workshop today in the computer lab. If you are interested in attending the overnight field trip, please turn in your permission slip.

Titan PRIDE Club meeting will be today at Lunch in Room 144!

Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteer mentor training is this Friday, Sept 29. Join fellow Bigs on the Quad at Nipomo High School from 3:30-5:30p. Snacks will be served! Questions? Text Alison at 805-801-0377.


Students! Do you like to attack your enemy? To force their King into submission? No, I'm not talking about Game of Thrones...we're talking about the newest club on campus, the CHESS CLUB. We meet in the library every Wednesday for a friendly game of chess. Beginners are welcome.

Juniors! Remember to register for the PSAT in the activities office. The test is on Saturday, October 14th, from 7:45 - 12:00 noon. The cost is $20.00. If paying by check, make it payable to NHS ASB.


Cal Poly will be here on Monday during third period in the library. Please sign-up in the Career Center if you would like to attend this presentation for prospective students.

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Allan Hancock Community College is hosting their annual Career Exploration day on Friday, October 6th. Please see Mrs. Lattimer in the Counseling Office to pick up a permission slip if you are interested in attending.

Cuesta College will be offering a Workplace Readiness Fundamental course on campus beginning October 2nd. By taking this course, you can earn 10 high school and 3 college credits. Please see your counselor for more information.

Community Service

Nipomo Recreation has an opportunity for high school students to get their volunteer hours for this school year on October 7th at the Annual October Fest in the Nipomo Community Park. We are looking for some people to help out with the Fun Run. Hours are from 7am-10am. We will need help setting up the course and traffic safety. Please call Jeff at 805-929-5437.
Sports

Anyone interested in playing baseball this year, please come to the informational meeting at lunch this Thursday in room 129.

All students trying out for a sport or doing preseason workouts must have their Family ID information on file as well as a current sports physical from a doctor. See Mrs. Teixeira or Mr. Deichler for more information.

Come out and cheer for your Titan Teams this week! Let’s fill the stands on Friday at the Nipomo vs AG game!!
