Did you know that October is Bullying Prevention month? To help kick it off, today is Blue Shirt Day - World Day of Bullying Prevention, An initiative of STOMP Out Bullying. Wear a blue shirt to show your support to STOMP Out Bullying!

The NHS After School program is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. After School Tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-5:00 pm and an evening meal will be available to all who attend. A late bus will depart NHS.

Redeem your Titan Bolts at the Titan PRIDE cart in the quad during lunch on Tuesdays! Reward yourself with snacks, clothes, and other amazing prizes!


Clubs/Classes


Juniors! Remember to register for the PSAT in the activities office. The test is on Saturday, October 14th, from 7:45 - 12:00 noon. The cost is $20.00. If paying by check, make it payable to NHS ASB.

Career Center Updates - Please join us on Tuesday for our workshop from3:00-4:00. This week you will have the opportunity to complete and interest profile and explore careers based off of your results.

Cal Poly and California Lutheran University both have visits scheduled for this week. Please see Mrs. Hirase in the Career Center for more information.


Attention Juniors and Seniors, Allan Hancock Community College is hosting their annual Career Exploration day on Friday, October 6th. Please see Mrs. Lattimer in the Counseling Office to pick up a permission slip if you are interested in attending.

The Cuesta Workplace Readiness course begins this today at 3:30pm in Room 128. Completing this class will give you 10 high school credits and 3 credits for college. Please report directly to room 128 at 3:30pm to participate.

Cal Poly Upward Bound after school session is tomorrow in the library conference room from 3pm – 5pm and will meet every week on Tuesdays. More information about this college prep program is available by emailing [email protected]

Community Service

Nipomo Recreation has an opportunity for high school students to get their volunteer hours for this school year on October 7th at the Annual October Fest in the Nipomo Community Park. We are looking for some people to help out with the Fun Run. Hours are from 7am-10am. We will need help setting up the course and traffic safety. Please call Jeff at 805-929-5437.
Sports


All students trying out for a sport or doing preseason workouts must have their Family ID information on file as well as a current sports physical from a doctor. See Mrs. Teixeira or Mr. Deichler for more information.
