General


The NHS After School program is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. After School Tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-5:00 pm and an evening meal will be available to all who attend. A late bus will depart NHS.


Hey Titans! Do you want to win a pizza at lunch this Friday? Wear your Titan hear or Titan colors every Friday to be entered in a pizza raffle! Look out for ASB student leadership members to receive your ticket!

Clubs/Classes
There will be a Public Safety Club meeting in Rm. 148 at lunchtime on Thursday. For more info, see Mr. Lindgren.

Titan PRIDE Club meeting will be today at Lunch in Room 144!

Library news - After school today there will be BINGO in the library from 3-4:30!! Prizes will include movie passes, gift cards for restaurants, free books, and more! Everyone is welcome.

Attention ETS students: There is an after school workshop today in the computer lab. If you are interested in attending a Cal Poly soccer game against UCSB, permission slips will be handed out during this time.

Join Project Teen Health in the library tomorrow during lunch and find out about the projects we are working, see you there!


Key Club Fall Rally tickets (paid up members only) will be $30. The completed form (available from Ms. Alton or Ms. Cable Rm 143 and at Key Club meeting) and money must be in to the Activities Office by October 13th.

Juniors! Remember to register for the PSAT in the activities office. The test is on Saturday, October 14th, from 7:45 - 12:00 noon. The cost is $20.00. If paying by check, make it payable to NHS ASB.

Cal Poly and California Lutheran University both have visits scheduled for this week. Please see Mrs. Hirase in the Career Center for more information.

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Allan Hancock Community College is hosting their annual Career Exploration day on Friday, October 6th. Please see Mrs. Lattimer in the Counseling Office to pick up a permission slip if you are interested in attending.

There is a new club on campus, the Chess Club. We will meet in the library today at lunch. All levels are welcome, even beginners! Stop on by and checkmate it out!



Seniors

Attention Seniors! Jostens will be on campus for your Senior Graduation Order day on Thursday, October 5th and Friday, October 6th. They will be on the quad at lunch only. Don’t forget your $60.00 deposit and your order form. Extra packets are in the Activities Office.

Community Service

Nipomo Recreation has an opportunity for high school students to get their volunteer hours for this school year on October 7th at the Annual October Fest in the Nipomo Community Park. We are looking for some people to help out with the Fun Run. Hours are from 7am-10am. We will need help setting up the course and traffic safety. Please call Jeff at 805-929-5437.

All students trying out for a sport or doing preseason workouts must have their Family ID information on file as well as a current sports physical from a doctor. See Mrs. Teixeira or Mr. Deichler for more information.
