General


The NHS After School program is now open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. After School Tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-5:00 pm and an evening meal will be available to all who attend. A late bus will depart NHS. More after school offering will be announced as they become available.

Redeem your Titan Bolts at the Titan PRIDE cart in the quad during break and lunch today! Reward yourself with snacks, clothes, and other amazing prizes!

Don’t forget to help create a better water source for kids in Nepal by purchasing a Roy Rodger drink during lunch for only $2.00! Tomorrow will be Italian Soda in many different flavors and the cost will be just $2.00.

Hey scholars, Renaissance is back! THIS YEAR NO APPLICATIONS were required, so if you qualified, then come treat-yourself! Check the lists around school and come to the quad at lunch to get your treat and card.
We can't wait to celebrate you and your hard work. Come to the quad TODAY at lunch to get your first treat-yourself!


Hey freshman! Go out and find those pumpkins for a chance to be one of the top 3 winners! 1st Place gets a big basket full of candy, 2nd Place gets a small pumpkin full of candy, and 3rd Place winner gets a king size candy bar! We encourage you to seek out those pumpkins. Make sure to return them to room 126. Good luck and happy hunting freshman!


Japanese Culture Club will be meeting today at lunch and every Tuesday at lunch in Mr. Magdaleno's room 147. See you there.

There is a new club on campus, the Chess Club. We will meet in the library on Wednesdays at lunch. All levels are welcome, even beginners! Stop on by and checkmate it out! Get it?

Opening night is Thursday, Oct. 26th and the show runs Thurs, Fri, & Sat at 7pm thru Nov 4th in Olympic Hall. Doors open at 6:30. Students $10/ Adult $12.

Cal Poly Upward Bound after school session is today in the library conference room from 3pm – 5pm and will meet every week on Tuesdays. More information about this college prep program is available by emailing [email protected]


Career Center

Attention all students, College Night SLO is scheduled for October 30th from 5:00pm - 8:45pm at Cuesta College. We will have buses departing from our school at 4:00pm and returning at 7:30pm. Please see Mrs. Hirase in the Career Center if you would like to sign-up to attend.

We have some amazing colleges scheduled to present within the next couple of weeks, including UCSB and UCLA. Sign-up sheets can be found in the Career Center.

Come join us today for an exciting game of Jenga, but with a twist. Our Career Jenga game will start at 3:00 in the library. Come have fun and win prizes, while thinking about your future!

Community Service

Nipomo Recreation is looking for volunteer youth basketball coaches for their league this season. Come out and connect with the youth of Nipomo and have fun doing it. Practices are set by you the coach and are typically 1 hour a day 2x a week. Games range from Monday-Saturday for 45 minutes. Season starts Nov. 13 and ends in February. You will absolutely love this community service. Contact Jeff Long at 929-5437 or come see him in person at the Nipomo Rec office that is located on campus in the gym lobby. Boys Soccer Hopefuls - Boys Soccer Tryouts will take place today and Wednesday. Tryouts will be 4pm - 6pm on each of these days on the NHS Fields behind the Softball Field. Reminder: you must have a valid physical on file and have completed Family ID registration in order to tryout. See Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office to get Family ID registration information.

All students trying out for a sport or doing preseason workouts must have their Family ID information on file as well as a current sports physical from a doctor. See Mrs. Teixeira or Mr. Deichler for more information.
