It is that time again! CSF applications are now available in Mrs. Bellew's room, Room 138, or with Ms. Bottrell in the front office. Sophomores, this is your first opportunity to apply. Applications are due to Mrs. Teixeira, in the Activities Office, by March 7th.
Hey Titans! Need some extra help with one of your classes? Wanna study for that next test? Come to the After-School Program on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's and get some help maintaining those good grades! The After-School Program will end at 5pm everyday and guess what--DINNER and transportation are provided! Hope to see you there!
Don’t forget to wear your favorite post secondary education gear on Higher Ed Thursdays which is every Thursday! This includes, colleges, military, and vocational programs. Mascots are allowed as long as the name of the organization is showing as well.

Hey Titans! Have you always wanted to play some basketball with your friends? Now is your chance! NHS is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament that will take place in the Gym at lunch beginning March 12th. Come by Mrs. Teixeira’s office to fill out a form with your team, the deadline is March 5th to sign-up, so be sure to get your squad together and sign-up!
Attention Sophomores: There will be a “Sophomore Hangout” on March 15th from 3:15-5:30pm, and it will take place here at NHS on the quad. There will be games, music and snacks! Take this opportunity to become closer with your classmates! Hope to see you there sophomores!

Seniors, are you planning to attend Allan Hancock next year? A representative from the school will be in the Career Center every Thursday from 11-1 to help with applications and answer any questions that you have. Please come to the Career Center to sign up for an appointment.

Many of you still need to complete your 20 hours of community service. The forms are available in the counseling office to sign off on your hours. You will not be able to do the Senior Trip and Senior activities unless your hours are completed.
Community Service
Students! Do you need community service hours? There are two opportunities coming up! Sunday, March 31 is the first ever Santa Maria Open Streets. Main Street from Broadway to Blosser for a day full of booths, food, demonstrations, events, and family fun! It's free to attend, and they are looking for volunteers all day. You can sign up for multiple shifts, and will receive a letter of recommendation from the organizer. For more information, email Carlos Escobedo at [email protected] May 11th is the annual Miracle Miles for Kids 10K in Morro Bay. They are beginning to recruit volunteers. They need over 300 to pull the event off!
They are looking for people to work both the packet pick up the day before and the race itself.
