Congratulations to our March students of the month underclassmen!

Congratulation to our freshman of the month, Ethan GiVogue. When nominating you a teacher said “You take your classwork serious and you try your best everyday!”

Congratulations to our sophomore excellence student of the month, Alberto Diaz. When nominating you a teacher said, “You utilize your extra time to make sure you complete your work and really understand the material. You have been demonstrating perseverance throughout the beginning of the year, great job!”

Congratulations to our junior of the month, Claire Wellenkamp. When nominating you a teacher said you “exemplify discipline and excellent study habits. You do your work thoroughly, with attention to detail, on time and with a smile. You are a model of Titan PRIDE!!”

Congratulations to our senior of the month, Krystal Diaz. When nominating you a teacher said you “are member and captain of the wrestling team and the executive secretary of ASB. You are a hardworking student with great grades. You participate in Upward Bound and have shown integrity as a student and with your peers.”

 

Congratulations to our Teacher of the month, Mr. Paradis!!

When nominating you a student said, “You are a rad teacher and an amazing coach! You have the best intentions for all your students and athletes. You radiate so much positive energy, it’s crazy! I am happy to call him coach and teacher! You are one of a kind.”

When nominating you a student said, “You are a great addition to our campus, you are very kind and helpful to all students and it is very clear that you only want the best for us.”

 

Students! There is homework, tutoring, study groups and much more happening in the library after school on Tuesdays, Wednesday & Thursdays. The doors are open to anyone and everyone who either needs some extra help in a specific subject, on an assignment or even perhaps just a quiet place to concentrate and get your work done! It is very helpful if you need a little extra push to keep your grades in good standing. Don't hesitate-- Tuesday through Thursday, every week, from 3:00-5:00pm. Dinner and transportation are provided. We hope to see you there, Titans!

 

Clubs / Classes

 

Hey Seniors and Juniors! Prom tickets will be going on sale starting TODAY. They are $40 with an ASB card and $50 without. Make sure to get yours early before the prices go up, they are sold in the Activity Office.

 

Also, if you’d like to bring a guest to this year’s prom, guest passes are now available. They are due this Friday, April 5th. You can pick one up in the Activities Office.

 

Are you interested in the French Culture? Come to Room 118 for French Club today during lunch.

 

Students! Are you interested in a fitness challenge? Well, now is your chance, to workout for FREE with Project Teen Health. They are hosting a Fitness Challenge on campus, starting tomorrow, April 2nd through April 18th-- after school from 3:00 - 4:00pm. It is even possible to earn a FREE Snap Fitness Gym membership. Grab a registration form in the Front Office at Ms. Bottrell’s desk.

 

Career Center / Library

 

Let the Peeps begin! This week starts our 6th annual Peeps Diorama contest in the library. All entries must by book themed, be built in a show box, and all characters must be peeps. Entries are due in the library next Friday, April 12th by 3pm. Prizes include gift cards from Starbucks, Regal Cinemas, and Subway. See Ms. Matsuura in the library for more information and a complete list of rules. And if you need peeps and shoe boxes, she can help!

 

Seniors

 

Seniors, are you going to Hancock next year? If so, stop by the Career Center to get a permission slip for the Hancock Launch that will be happening on April 12th. This is an incredible event where you will be able to attend orientation, meet with academic advisors, and learn about the various programs available to you for next year. Please see Mrs. Hirase if you have any questions regarding the event.

 

Community Service

Annual Kids Day & Egg Hunt next Saturday, April 6th. See Pastor Ralph with BStrong or Jeff Long in the Nipomo Recreation office in our NHS Gym lobby.

Sports

 

Students-- The Special Olympics is getting close. This year's Special Olympics is on Friday, May 3rd at Cuesta College. We need Best Buddies to help our amazing athletes go for the gold that day. If you are interested in helping, come to the meeting in the Forum at lunch on Monday! See Mr. Hubbell for more details.
