Second day of Mental Health Awareness Month! Intentional deep breathing improves mental health by relaxing both the body and the mind. Taking slow, deep breaths increases oxygen in our bloodstream and in our brain.Take 5 minutes to sit still and just breathe. Closing your eyes can also help you focus. Breathe in for three counts, hold for three counts, exhale for three counts. To totally get the benefit of deep breathing make sure your phone is not around!
