Mental Health Awareness Month! Stress causes an increased production of adrenaline and cortisol that can increase anxiety. What causes stress in your life? Is it family, school, friends, the choices you make? Stress management starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life. Poor time management can also cause a lot of stress. When you’re stretched too thin and running behind, it’s hard to stay calm and focused. Plus, you’ll be tempted to avoid or cut back on all the healthy things you should be doing to keep stress in check, like socializing and getting enough sleep.There are many ways to deal with stress, some healthy, some unhealthy. How do you deal with stress?
Students! There is homework, tutoring, study groups and much more happening in the library after school on Tuesdays, Wednesday & Thursdays. The doors are open to anyone and everyone who either needs some extra help in a specific subject, on an assignment or even perhaps just a quiet place to concentrate and get your work done! It is very helpful if you need a little extra push to keep your grades in good standing. Don't hesitate-- Tuesday through Thursday, every week, from 3:00-5:00pm. Dinner and transportation are provided. We hope to see you there, Titans!

Library News: Only 2 after school library events are left this year! This Wednesday we will be making marbled mugs. Only 15 spots available so hustle to the library right after school tomorrow. We'll start at 3pm. And on Wednesday, May 22nd we'll be playing BINGO 3-4:30pm for prizes such as restaurant gift cards, books, and candy!
Career Center: Are you thinking about a Career in the Air Force? NHS alumni, Rody Canton, will be here with other service members this tomorrow in the Library to talk about what a future in the Air Force may look like for you. Presentations will occur throughout the day, so please see Mrs. Hirase in the Career Center to sign up to attend one. You must sign up in order to attend.

Do you love puppies? Do you want to hang out and play with them while earning community service hours? You won't want to miss out on this rewarding opportunity!
Doggie Does Good is a local service dog training facility here in Nipomo. We are looking for some people to come out to our facility to socialize our service dog puppies, exercise our service dogs in training, and go out on field trips with some of our service dog trainers. If interested we are having a volunteer orientation this Saturday May 11th at 11am. In order to volunteer with us, you must attend one volunteer orientation.
