Mental Health Awareness Month! Gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. People feel and express gratitude in multiple ways. Find 3 things you are grateful for today!  If you are grateful for someone or something someone did, let them know!

 

Hey guess what! MC & National Anthem auditions for our Senior Send-off Rally will be held Tuesday, May 21st in Room 102 (ASB Room). All you need to bring is enthusiasm. See you there!

 

And with that being said, it is time for our annual Titan Olympiad Spirit Week. The week will consist of spirit days, Boat Regatta, Powderpuff games and the Senior Send-off Rally. We will kick off the week with PAJAMA DAY on Monday!

 

Attention Hancock College Now! Students, Monday, May 20th is the first day to register for classes if you have completed the online application and paper application with your counselor. There will be a Hancock staff member in the counseling office to assist with class registration. Please book an appointment in the counseling office & bring your MyHancock login information. DO NOT WAIT, CLASSES FILL UP FAST!

Clubs / Classes

 

Project Teen Health will have a Mental Health Awareness booth set up today during lunch. Come out to the quad and check it out!

 

The Anime Club would like to say thank you to all of the students who participated in the Anitoon Drawing contest! The first place winner is Isaac Salguero, 2nd place is Rachel Todd and 3rd place winner is Chloe Rea. Please see Ms. Xiong in the library after school.

 

The world will know that the premiere of Newsies is finally here! Come support the NHS Drama Department at their last show of the year! Between all the fighting, singing, tears and dancing, this will be a powerful show you will not want to miss! It will be at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande during Memorial Weekend (May 23rd-May 26th). Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm. Tickets sold at the door are $12 for students and $22 for adults. PRESALE TICKETS ARE LESS, FIND MRS. METCHIK OR THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE, AS WELL AS THE CLARK CENTER. We hope to see you all there!

Seniors

 

Seniors if you are attending Hancock next year, please come to the Career Center at lunch today to learn about a program that you can enroll in to assist you during your time there.

Community Service

 

Do you need community service and want to do some over the summer? Grab a list of organizations looking for volunteers from Ms. Hawley, in the office. They are located on the wall to the left of the door. You can also visit volunteerslo.org to find opportunities. Happy volunteering!

 

Sports

 

Attention Track & Field Athletes - please turn your uniforms into Coach Edwards at his office during lunch on Tuesday the 21st, lunch on Wednesday the 22nd, or lunch on Thursday the 23rd. You will receive your track photo when you turn in your uniform.  Wash your gear before turning in please!!

 

Attention Boy Wrestlers - please turn in your wrestling gear (bags, singlets, headgear) to Coach Edwards at his office during lunch on Tuesday the 21st, lunch on Wednesday the 22nd, or lunch on Thursday the 23rd. You will be charged if you do not turn your gear in.

 

Attention students: If you are going to be participating in NHS Athletics next year, the 2019-20 Family ID registration is now open. Instructions for completion can be found on the NHS Athletics page and if you have any questions please swing by room 134 and speak with Assistant Athletic Director Mr. Deichler. Thanks.

 

Run Titans Run!! Anyone interested in running Cross Country next school year please meet Coach Long in the Forum at lunch TODAY. Summer practice schedules and fundraising info will be handed out. See you all there.
