Attention all Titan students that drive yourself to school, listen up…
YOU MUST HAVE A PARKING PERMIT IN ORDER TO PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON CAMPUS. Parking permit applications are available in the Activities Office. You will need your driver's license, verification of insurance and your parent/legal guardian must sign and fill out the form. You have until the end of this week.
Next week, Campus Security will begin checking the parking lot and giving citations to anyone without a permit.
Did you know that every student at Nipomo High School will be in the yearbook AT LEAST 3 times? That means YOU are going to be in this year's yearbook! Look for the QR codes around campus to order your yearbook before it's too late. Prices will never be this low again!
After school tutoring in the library will begin on Monday, September 16th. Stay tuned for details.
Clubs / Classes
Are you interested in joining the Robotics team on campus? Come to the meeting at lunch today in Room 105 to find out how you can join the team. You will also learn to build and program your robot to compete against the world!
Our first FCA meeting for the year will be today at lunch in Room 117. All students interested in having a leadership role should stop by and check it out!
Do you like to participate in choreographed dances? Are you interested in the Latin culture? NHS is introducing a new club on campus, it is called Ballet Folklorico. Come to our informational meeting on Friday, August 30th from 4:30-6:30pm. It will take place in Room 103. Please be on time.
Career Center / Library
Juniors and Seniors: interested in a career in fashion and design? The FIDM Fashion Club needs a dedicated president. In the role, you will run the meetings and be eligible for scholarships to attend FIDM. Interested? See Mrs. Oksner in the Career Center.
Seniors, mark your calendars! This Friday, Aug. 30th, we will be hosting two guests in the Career Center:
LUNCH ON FRIDAY - Sean Pringle will talk about scholarships through the Elks Club.
5th period FRIDAY - A rep will be here from Seton College https://www.shu.edu/ a private Catholic University located in New Jersey.
Both presentations will take place in the Career Center, located next to the library at NHS. Be sure to get a pass from your teacher if you need to leave class to attend.

Senior portraits are due before October 15th to Mrs. Sutherland. Selfies are NOT Acceptable. Check the NHS Website for more details.
The deadline to order senior recognition ads is November 30th. They are created on Jostens.com and range in price from $35 to $165. Remember, Yearbooks are forever.

Come join us for Friday Night Lights! That's right, our Varsity Football team will be hosting Cabrillo at SLO high on Friday night at 7:00. Need transportation to the game? A Rooter bus will be provided to the first 50 students to sign up.
Permission slips and sign ups will be on the quad during lunch tomorrow and Thursday. Bus leaves the NHS gym at 5:30 and will return at 10:00pm.
