Titans! The after-school program in the library begins today. Don’t forget to stop by and get some extra help on homework or even just to have a quiet place to study. It is from 3:00pm-5:00pm and an evening bus will depart NHS at 5:15pm.
Picture Retake day is next Monday, September 23rd. If you did not get your picture taken at roundup, you MUST have a picture taken on retake day.

Attention all students who need credit towards graduation or would like to earn college credits! You’re in luck! A Cuesta College professor will be coming to the NHS campus to teach a class called “Workplace Readiness” and “PEDS120”. If you are interested, come to the Career Center today during 6th period to begin sign ups.

Library News: After school crafts are back! From 3-4:30 this Wednesday, we'll be making edible Candy Sushi in the library conference room. Everyone is welcome and it's FREE!!!
TOMORROW, Tuesday, Sept. 17th at lunch, U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Smith will be on campus to talk about careers in the Air Force. Come visit the Career Center at lunch tomorrow to see what the Air Force can offer you!
It isn't too late to sign up! Come to the Career Center to get permission slips for the upcoming Career Exploration Day field trip to Hancock College. You need to get your parents and teachers to sign, and then bring the signed paperwork to the Career Center by THIS Wednesday, Sept. 18. Don't delay! The field trip is coming up on Friday, October 4.
This Thursday, Sept. 19 at lunch, Laurus College will be on campus talking about its programs. If you are not sure about your plans after graduation, then come see another option! Laurus College will be in the Career Center at lunch on Thursday. Come on by!
Seniors
Senior Portraits are due in ONE MONTH. Please read the guidelines on the NHS website under activities, then yearbook. If you need assistance getting your portrait done, please see Mrs. Sutherland in room 40D or one of the Yearbook staff and we will help you. We need EVERY SENIOR to turn in a portrait before October 15th.
Community Service
Are you looking for community services and want to help out the teachers at Lange Elementary? Sign up to help at the annual Lange Family Carnival! The carnival is on Thursday, September 26 from 4:30-7:30, and teachers are looking for volunteers to run booths, walk Buddy around, and to be a help to parents and students. If you interested, please see Ms. Hawley in the Counseling Office to sign up!
Hey Juniors & Seniors! Stop by the student store after school to sign up for the opportunity to earn community service hours. Do not wait until the end of the year to complete these hours! All it takes is one hour a week to gain work experience, service hours and $3.00 worth of snacks!
