General

 

Titans, to kick off Homecoming week, this Monday get your “Disney on” by wearing your best Disney gear or wear Red & Black! Also, don’t forget the rally is on Monday!

 

Be our guest at the happiest place on earth. Homecoming dance tickets are now available in the Activities Office, prices are $5.00 with an ASB card, $10.00 without. Prices will increase next week so get yours ASAP!

 

Do you want to go to the Happiest Place on Earth with a special someone who does not attend NHS? You will need to get them a guest pass, guest passes are now available in the Activities Office. They should be completed and turned in by TOMORROW to Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office.

Students going on the field trip to Allan Hancock College tomorrow: DO NOT go to first period. Instead, meet at Olympic Hall tomorrow morning when school starts. We will take attendance there before boarding the bus at 8:00 am.

Attention students, if you are interested in taking college classes and being a part of the Associates Club, please join us in the Career Center during Lunch on Thursday, October 10th for a general interest meeting.

 

Attention SAT and PSAT registrants, your Student Guide is ready for pickup in the Counseling Office. Your Student Guide has Important Information about test taking, advice & tips & practice questions. Please see Mrs. Nunez in the counseling office to pick up your guide.

 

Attention fashionistas! The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) will be on campus during 4th period today. Come to the Career Center during 4th period to see the presentation. Following, the FIDM Fashion Club will be meeting for the first time at lunch in the library.

 

Come to the Fishing Club’s first meeting today at lunch in Ms. Leek’s room, room 152.

 

Attention all those interested in board games and card games. The Magic the Gathering Club is meeting in Mr. Deichler's room 134 to nerd out and play some games. See you there.

 

The Nipomo GSA meets at lunch today, starting at 12:35pm, in room 908 on the CCNTH campus. Please see Mr. Schroter for a pass to return to class at the end of the meeting.

 

Class of 2021, if you were not able to make it to the first meeting, you still have a chance! Today at the beginning of lunch to discuss the Junior Diorama, stop by room 40A!

 

The Environmentally Friendly Club is meeting in Room 119 at lunch this Friday! Don’t miss it, we will be watering Greta Thunberg’s speech at the Climate Change Summit.

Seniors

 

Seniors - listen up! If you turned in your field trip permission slip to go to the Clark Center, report to the gym right after 4th period. Lunch will be provided. All seniors going on the field trip must check in at the gym!

 

Your senior portraits are due to Mrs. Sutherland October 15th, which is TWO WEEKS away! If you don't know how to get them done or haven't started, please see Mrs. Sutherland at break or lunch THIS WEEK.

 

Community Service

 

Attention Students! Nipomo Recreation is hosting a family oriented special event on Saturday, October 12th from 9 am to 5 pm in the Nipomo Community park. We are looking for volunteers to help throughout the day in various ways. Help yourself fulfill your volunteer requirements for high school graduation. Come see Jeff Long at the recreation office located in the NHS gym lobby.

 

The Central Coast Airfest needs volunteers! The Airfest Show is coming up October 12th and 13th. They need 20 volunteers especially for the gates and admission areas. Clubs can get money for sending 20 people to volunteer. For more information, contact Mrs. O in the Career Center.
