General

 

“Good morning my pretties,” says Princess Sleeping Beauty! Tomorrow is the Sleeping Beauty themed spirit day, be sure to wear your pajamas or your favorite cozy socks.

 

Don’t forget to stop by the After-School Program in the library. You can get some help on your assignments or perhaps just have a quiet place to do your work. Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00pm. Dinner and bus transportation are available! 

 

Clubs / Classes

 

Attention students, if you are interested in taking college classes and being a part of the Associates Club, please join us in the Career Center during lunch on Thursday, October 10th for a general interest meeting.

Career Center / Library

 

Library News: Today kicks off our library's 3rd annual Storybook Pumpkin contest!  Decorate (but DO NOT carve) a pumpkin like your favorite book character and enter it to possibly win movie and restaurant gift cards. All pumpkins are due in the library by next Friday, October 18th. Stop by the library for more details.

 

Seniors

 

Tonight is Cash for College night! When it comes to financial aid for college, there's something for everyone! Get some help and information about FAFSA and other financial aid opportunities! If you have any questions, see a counselor or come to the Counseling Office and pick up a flyer.

 

Cuesta Promise Day is coming up on Friday, Oct. 18th. Permissions slips are due THIS Friday, Oct. 11th. Come to the Career Center to pick up a permission slip. There is limited space on the bus so first-come, first-served. Promise to attend Promise Day!

 

Local Elementary and Middle School students need tutoring help. You can get community service hours or pay for your time. Sign up to be a tutor in the Career Center with Mrs. O.

 

Seniors! Do you want to be named Elks Teenager of the Month? Come to the Career Center and get an application from Mrs. O. Applications are due Friday, Nov. 1st.  

 

Community Service

 

Need Community Service? The Arroyo Grande Rec Department needs students to help senior citizens learn about technology. Teach a grandparent about the iPhone or social media. Come to the Career Center for more information.

 

Hey Juniors & Seniors! Stop by the student store to sign up for the opportunity to earn community service hours. Do not wait until the end of the year to complete these hours! All it takes is one hour a week to gain work experience, service hours and $3.00 worth of snacks!

Girls and Boys interested in wrestling this year, meet in the Boys Wrestling room at lunch on Wednesday, October 9th.
