General

 

We’re hungry for donations! Remember that this week is our Canned Food Drive. Bring in non-perishable and non-expired items through Thursday to your 2nd period for a chance to win Old West Cinnamon Rolls this Friday! Remember, every can counts!

 

Wanna gobble up some ice cream? If your birthday is in November come trot on over to the quad, Wednesday at lunch.  

 

Don’t forget to stop by the After-School Program in the library. You can get some help on your assignments or perhaps just have a quiet place to do your work. Monday through Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00pm. Dinner and bus transportation are available! 

 

Clubs / Classes

 

BStrongLife Club is excited to bring to Nipomo High School a popular group from New Zealand, The Revolution Tour. This all happens Thursday, Nov. 21st at lunch in the Forum. The Revolution tour brings on the music, dance and is sure to make you laugh. Also, you might just grow a bigger appreciation for yourself and those around you. Check it out on Thursday! 

 

Attention all those interested in board games and card games. The Magic the Gathering Club is meeting in Mr. Deichler's room 134 to nerd out and play some games. See you there.

 

Key Club meets today in Room 102!

 

Unicef club meets today and every Tuesday in room 109 at lunch. Please stop by, everyone is welcome.

 

Career Center / Library

 

Students! A reminder that the Career Center is only open on Tuesday and Thursday this week during school hours. Come visit our NHS counseling interns to get help with your UC and CSU college applications, and applying for FAFSA financial aid. That's 8:30a.m. to 2:50p.m. Tuesday and Thursday this week.

 

After Thanksgiving Break, come hear John Silveira of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union give a talk about careers and opportunities in the welding, pipefitting, plumbing, and refrigeration industries. Friday, Dec. 6 in the Career Center during 2nd and 3rd periods.

 

Seniors

 

This is your LAST CHANCE to get your senior quote in the yearbook next to your senior portrait.  The cut off for senior quotes is THIS FRIDAY. Please fill out the google form in your school email before you leave for Thanksgiving break if you have not already.

 

Seniors!! We are having sign-up days for Fall 2020 at Cuesta AND Hancock. You can sign up for the Cuesta Promise, register for admission to either school, and get help with financial aid. Do it NOW so you have it done for fall 2020. Even if Cuesta or Hancock is your "back-up plan" this is the time to get it done. See Mrs. Nunez in the Counseling Office to sign up for a day and time.

Dodgeball competitions are now here! Games will begin today at lunch in the gym and will continue the rest of the week. And always remember, don’t headshot the homies!

 

Hey Titan students and staff! Tonight, the boys basketball team will go face to face with the Santa Ynez Pirates. Let's get our Titan spirit going and show up to shake the court in Johnson Gym! The varsity game starts at 6:30, but show up early to also cheer on the freshman and junior varsity teams. General admission is $6.00 and students with an ASB card get in for free! Go Titans!
