Titans, come on out and support your varsity Girls’ Basketball team as they compete against the Shafter High Generals in the first round game of CIF playoffs. Wear your Titan gear and bring your Titan spirit  tonight at 7:00 pm in Johnson Gym. See you there!




Is your birthday in February? Well then let’s celebrate!  Come on out to the quad tomorrow at lunch to get a special treat. Happy Birthday!




We are looking for artists who would like their artwork featured in the yearbook!  It can be digital art, photography, drawings, cartoons, paintings, sculptures or any medium!  Please send a photo of artwork to [email protected] and include your name, title of your artwork and a description of the medium and techniques you used.  If you have questions, see Mrs. Sutherland in room 40D. The deadline is FEBRUARY 21st.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is Higher Education Thursday! College, military and anything related to education after high school is encouraged to be worn every Thursday! Join in on the school spirit and always dream big, Titans!




Clubs / Classes

Friday Night Live club is having their meeting today at lunch in Room 149. Grab a friend and come check it out to meet new people, learn leadership skills, and plan fun activities and campaigns for the whole campus! 




The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be having their weekly meeting on Wednesdays during lunch in Room 117. You do not need to be Christian or an athlete to attend. All are welcome! Stop by, bring a friend and learn about our club and our faith. 




Do you love reading? Do you want to gush about your favorite stories or complain about the book you have to read for English? Do you need a space where you can discuss all your favorite media besides books? Come to the library conference room at lunch this Thursday and every third Thursday of the month to have lively discussions with like-minded people. See you there!

SCHOLARSHIPS!!-Come see Mrs. O in the Career Center for the latest scholarship opportunities! Want to go to Cal State Chico or are you a drama student? The Zac Elliott scholarship is for you! Are you a student of Mexican descent AND you filled out the NHS Local scholarship? You may get $1,000! Come see Mrs. O in the Career Center to find out more. 




Edúcate- Sí Se Puede is an inspirational conference for Latino and Latina High School students in San Luis Obispo County. Please join us for exciting and informative workshops. See Mrs. O in the Career Center if you are interested in attending on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 9:00am - 2:00pm.




Community Service

Volunteen needs 20 new students who would like to volunteer at the hospital in Santa Maria. They must be willing to commit to one 4 hour shift per week. Students would be working at the hospitality desks on all floors, nursing support on all floors, Main lobby desk, ER, Meal Mates and so much more.  We look to find the right fit for each teen. See Mrs. O in the Career Center if you're interested! 




Sports

Congratulations to the following Boy Wrestlers- Francisco Alcantar and Jesse Garza both CIF Champions.  Justin Burdick finished 2nd, Jonathan Gallardo finished 3rd, Cash Kimball finished 3rd and Samuel Riquelme finished 5th.  They all qualify for Masters this week.  




A huge shout out to Leila Martin our CIF Champion wrestler!  Savannah Ruiz and Austria Holland both finished 3rd. All 3 have qualified and will wrestle at Masters this week. We are proud of you lady Titans!




The Track and Field team is waiting for YOU!  Optional practices have been going great for the 25-30 that have been showing up.  Looking forward to seeing many more of you begin to come out as winter sports wrap up.  Remember: the more the merrier and nobody gets cut....we want you all!
