Has it been a long time since you’ve seen a dentist? Do you have tooth pain or sensitivity? You can receive free dental care on March 12th and 13th when the dental van in on campus. You MUST have your parent’s signed consent to receive dental care. Please see Mrs. Lattimer in the nurse’s office to pick up paperwork and schedule an appointment.

Clubs and Classes
Remember to come to school hungry for the Renaissance breakfast Friday. Meet at Olympic Hall at 8am. You MUST CHECK IN to your 1st period class first!
Red Cross is having a club meeting in the library conference room at lunch on Friday. We will be taking a club picture for yearbook.
Red Cross will be selling lollypops on the quad at lunch today. They will be a dollar each for your choice of a sweet or sour one.
AP Test takers! AP Test fee balances are due before March 1st. That is this Friday! Please make arrangements to pay your outstanding balance as soon as possible.
Are you interested in being a part of the 2013-2014 yearbook staff? There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, March 4th at lunch in room 126. If you do not attend, you will not be eligible for the yearbook application process.

Seniors and Juniors! Adult Education (also called "Night School") classes are now be offered right here at Nipomo High School! Yes, you heard me right! If you need to make up some credits, or even accelerate your credit acquisition, then see you counselor to sign up. The classes will be held in the library computer lab from 3:00 - 5:00 every Wednesday and Thursday under the supervision of Mr. Lagen. Take advantage of this amazing opportunity today!
Community Service Opportunities
Camp Hapitok is looking for responsible, dedicated students between the ages of 13 and 18 to serve as volunteer counselors this summer. We especially need male volunteers. Please come the Activities Office to pick up an application. Applications must be postmarked by March 8th.
March 2nd, from 10-3, rain or shine, Nipomo riding club needs workers to help clear trash and unwanted materials that have been left behind by people. They have two large rolling dumpsters ready to be filled. They need willing, able glove- covered hands to load the “gems” people have chosen to leave behind on the trail into the dumpster. Grab a pink community service form from counseling and administration to take with you if you choose to help your community on March 2nd from 10-3. A map is available with Mrs. Whitacre.

Seniors / Scholarships
Seniors, this is the last week to submit your FAFSA application in order to be considered for Cal Grants!!! If you need help, Mrs. Machado from Cal-SOAP will be in the Library Computer Lab Monday & Wednesday at lunch! Bring tax documents with you, if you can. Or you can sign up with Mrs. Whitacre for an appointment during Mrs. Machado's office hours.

Varsity and JV Boy’s Soccer banquet is Monday, March 4th from 6:30-8pm in the library. Please contact Coach Vinnedge for what to bring. Family members are strongly encouraged to attend.
Club Freestyle Wrestling starts next week. If you're planning on being on the wrestling team next year and you're not doing a spring sport you must participate at least two days a week.
