Attention NHS: Mock Rock auditions last Thursday were a huge success!!! Thank you to all participants who performed and all NHS students who supported those acts. Congratulations to our first and second place winners that are now invited to participate in SLO County Mock Rock on April 28th at the Paso Robles Fair Grounds. Nipomo Dance Company finished first place, and Jenna Butz finished in second!!!"

Attention all upper classmen: ASB and Interact Club are joining hands by hosting our Junior/Senior “Dinner and a Movie Night” on March 15th. We will be showing Tangled and Toy Story 3. A tri-tip dinner will be provided for only $5. Buy tickets with Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office. P.S. Bring sleeping bags, chairs and pillows for a comfy and fun night.
A representative from West Point Military Academy will be on campus today, March 14th, during 5th period in the library. Come hear about all of the wonderful opportunities West Point has to offer; including academics, free tuition, and foreign travel. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s next Friday’s Superheroes VS Villains Rally! Juniors and seniors are Nipomo’s Superheroes fighting crime against the sophomore and freshman villains! Be on the look-out for your class colors.

Check it out! Red Cross is selling “Sadie’s Suckers”. You can buy a lollipop with a handwritten note from you or just a lollipop to enjoy for yourself for $1. They will be sold on Friday, Monday and Tuesday and will be delivered on Wednesday the 20th.

Community Service Opportunities
Are you interested in getting some last minute community service hours? Do you enjoy being healthy and active? Do you want to learn more about Allan Hancock College? If so, then you need to participate in the Allan Hancock College Splash and Dash on Saturday, April 27th! You can participate in either an Aquathon consisting of a 5K run and 500yd swim, a 2 mile run, a 5K run, or a 500yd swim.
