Every year, millions of children die from starvation. On Thursday, March 28th, Nipomo FFA is conducting a school-wide project to package 20,000 meals to send to Haiti and the Philippines. Nipomo HS, this is your opportunity to save the lives of starving children across the world! Come join us on March 28th at 1 pm in Olympic Hall to assemble meals that contain 6 essential nutrients to survive.
Have you ever wanted to give back? Well now you have the chance. Starting Monday, the 25th of March, we will be having Pennies for Patients in your 2nd period class! So, start saving up your change and be ready to donate! Prizes will be awarded to the three classes that raise the most money!
Sadie Hawkins dance tickets are now on sale. They will be $7 with ASB sticker, $10 without. Guest passes are due today. The dance is tomorrow night.
A representative from Cal Poly's EPIC program will be on campus Wednesday, 3/27, during 5th period in the Forum. EPIC (Engineering Possibilities in College) will have a summer camp at Cal Poly for 3 weeks in July...this is a wonderful opportunity to learn about engineering courses in college. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.

Community Service Opportunities
Nipomo Recreation Center needs volunteers to help put together model rockets, help with BBQ, help with carnival games, set-up and clean –up on Saturday, March 30th at the Egg Hunt and Kids Day in the Park at Nipomo Community Park. Are you interested in getting some last minute community service hours? Do you enjoy being healthy and active? Do you want to learn more about Allan Hancock College? If so, then you need to participate in the Allan Hancock College Splash and Dash on Saturday, April 27th! You can participate in either an Aquathon consisting of a 5K run and 500yd swim, a 2 mile run, a 5K run, or a 500yd swim.
