Attention all job seekers! Connect with employers from a variety of industries at the South County Job Fair on Thursday, April 18th from 2:00-5:30 pm at the South County Regional Center, 900 West Branch Street in Arroyo Grande. See flyer in the Activities Office for more information.

Another opportunity for job seekers is this year’s Youth Job and Resource Fair which will be held Wednesday, April 24th from 5 – 7 pm at the Youth One Stop located at 191 S. Oak Park Blvd in Grover Beach. This Job and Resource Fair provides young people information about jobs and career tracks in various industries and businesses. Information will be presented about how to fill out an application, what to wear to an interview, what employers are looking for, and how to make yourself stand out from the crowd. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet face-to-face with South County employers who are looking for youth ready to work. Food and beverages will be provided as well as surprise giveaways and drawings. Please pass the word to anyone you know under the age of 24 looking for employment


Parents don’t like their kid’s choice of who to love. The kids fall in love anyway. Big fight. Lovers think it is going to be happy ever-after. Get real! They split up and go off to discover the world. Come see the Drama Department’s production of “The Fantasticks” this Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 in Olympic Hall. “The Fantasticks,” the very popular, longest running musical in the world, stars Brett Bey, Sydni Abenido, Gabe King, Eric Van Ryn, Harrison Weathington, Alyssa Perry, Taylor Chambers and Jeremiah Wiseblood. Come on out and enjoy the show!


Community Service Opportunities

The Special Olympics Spring Regional Games will he held on Friday, May 3rd at Cuesta College. Nipomo High School always brings the largest, most spirited group of special athletes and Best Buddies for this fantastic event. There will be a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in the forum. Permission slips will be passed out at the meeting. This is a great way to get Community Service Hours. See you at the meeting! Let's help our special athletes go for the gold!

Seniors / Scholarships

Grad Night is June 12th. Tickets are $80 and are available in the Activities Office.

Seniors! Allan Hancock College will be in the Forum on Wednesday, April 24th at 8am. On this morning, you’ll learn how to apply and register to attend Hancock next year! Sign up sheet is located in the counseling office.

Seniors! It is not too late to complete your FAFSA application for financial aid!!! If you have not completed your FAFSA application yet, then what are you waiting for? Cuesta College is hosting a workshop to help you and your parents complete your FAFSA or Dream Act application on Thursday, April 18th between 5:30pm – 8pm. It will be on the AGHS campus in room 907! Bring all your and your parent’s tax and financial documents for 2012 with you that night.
