General

Prom pictures are here! If you purchased pictures at the dance, come to the Activities Office today at break or lunch to pick them up.

Students who are going to the Mesa 8th grade assembly on Monday, please have your field trip permission slips in to Mr. Hubbell by lunch time today. Be at school by 7:25 on Monday morning, and meet in the admin building lobby.

Today is the last day to check out library books.

Clubs and Classes

Attention Juniors! Would you like to help out with Senior Activities and Graduation? Do you have a high GPA? Are you a great example of Titan Pride? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you should apply to be a member of the Titan Honor Court. Applications are available on the Activities Office counter and are due to Mr. McConnell in room 113 on or before May 22nd. If you have any questions see Mr. McConnell or Mrs. Anderson.

Cheer tryouts for the 2013-2014 season begin on May 20th. No prior experience needed to tryout. All skills needed will be taught during the 3 day clinic beginning May 20-23. Packets with detailed information may be picked at the activities office. If you have ANY questions please feel free to Contact Coach Kali (Dolli) any time at [email protected]. Class of 2014! Do you want some input on the Sr. Best Categories the yearbook staff uses next year? Cast your vote for the categories on the yearbook page of the NHS Titans website by May 17!

Nipomo High School Dance Company presents their annual show, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande on May 17th and 18th at 7pm. Tickets are available in the Activities Office for $12.

Anyone interested in trying out for Dance Company, please pick up a packet in Belo’s room, 103, and sign up for a tryout day! Tryouts are either May 28th or 29th at 3pm.

Hey Renaissance students! It’s that time – what time? Pool Party Time! Come to the pool today to soak in the sun, grub on some delicious BBQ and swim like a fish! Party starts at lunch and goes through sixth period. See you there!

Hey Anime Fans! Anime Club meets today at lunch in room 110!

Nipomo Recreation is offering some great summer activities for teens! If you are interested in golfing, CPR and first Aid training, mentoring for teens, or colored pencil art, come get a flyer for more information from the Activities Office counter.


Community Service Opportunities

Here is an opportunity to get Community Service hours by working at the 10th Annual Foods Co Rodeo Parade Fair and Car Show on Saturday, June 1st at the JC Penney’s parking lot in Santa Maria. They need help setting up and taking down the booths. Sign up in the Activities Office. For more info, call 331-4744 or 863-8071.

Attention Seniors, if you are interested in trying out for Speaker at Large, please see Mr. McConnell in room #113 as soon as possible to put your name on the list and get the details! You must sign up to tryout! Tryouts day will be:
• Thursday, May 22nd, at 3pm in room 113.

Sports

Taylor Nevitt qualified for CIF finals in the shot and discus...taking 3rd in both during prelims last weekend. Way to throw Taylor!

SPRING FOOTBALL STARTS NEXT WEEK. Open for anybody that is interested in playing JV or Varsity football next year. See Coach Edwards this week if you have questions.

Sports Clearance Packets are on sale now in the Activities Office for $40.00. All potential student-athletes for this summer and next school year will need to have a current Clearance Card and physical on file.
