General

Students – a reminder…School rules apply at school sponsored events. When attending sporting events, show your school spirit by wearing Titan gear. Leave your professional and college athletic attire at home. When in doubt, refer to dress code in parent /student handbook.

Don’t forget to dress up and show your Titan Pride for our very first Spirit Week! Today is Wacky Wednesday, Thursday is Thrift Shop Thursday and Friday is show your Titan Pride day! If you think you’ve got the best outfit, come to the quad to compete against your classmates and see who really has the most spirit!

Who’s ready to beat the Eagles? Come out to the quad at lunch Friday, September 6th, for a pep rally to get pumped up for the big game!

Tonight is Back to School Night! The NHS Booster Club will have a hamburgerBBQstarting at 5:30 on the quad ($4.00 gets you dinner!). The Principal's Welcome will be at 6:15 in Olympic Hall. Parents will then report student's classrooms for 10 minute teacher presentations, with the evening ending at 8:15.

Western Oregon University is rated one of the best Liberal Arts colleges in the Unites States. Class sizes are small, and students do not have to pay out of state tuition. Some of the notable majors are Business, Biology, Teacher Education and Psychology. A representative from Western Oregon will be here today during 2nd period in the library. A sign up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.


Clubs and Classes

Hey Key Clubbers or anyone interested in getting community service hours – join us in room 150 Thursday at lunch for our first Key Club meeting.

Juniors and Seniors: The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) wants you to join! Become a part of the most elite high school academic honor society in the country. If you earned high grades on your June report card (the final grades for last year’s classes) then come by room 107 to fill out an application and see if you qualify. If you have any questions, come to room 107 and ask Mrs. Kelly. Don’t miss this opportunity to join … the deadline to apply is Friday, September 13th.

Educational Talent Search (ETS) will meet at noon today in the Library computer lab. Come meet your Cal Poly ETS Counselor, Liliana.

Fellowship if Christian Athletes meets today in the gym lobby a lunch. Come join us for food, fun and fellowship. Everyone is welcome!

Attention all sophomores, juniors and seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA from last semester – apply for Renaissance now! Don’t worry if you do not have that 3.0 GPA – if you improved by .5 percent from one semester to the next, you are also qualified! All applications are due by September 13th to the Guidance Counseling office.

Community Service Opportunities

Sign up in the Activities Office if you would like to work in the Student Store to earn community service hours.

All prospective Baseball players – there will be a meeting today at lunch in room 40C. Please plan to be there.
