The Scholastic Club’s “Tape that Teacher” fundraiser will happen on the quad on Tuesday, October 22nd at lunch. Duct tape your teacher of choice to the wall for $1 per strip of tape.
Want to see your favorite teacher taped to the wall? Come to the quad today to place your vote for who you’d like to see duct taped to the wall!
Sergeant Urso and Staff Sergeant Waugh from the U. S. Army will be on campus at lunch today. Ask them about all of the wonderful opportunities the Army has to offer.
A Representative from the U.S. Navy will be here today during 5th period in the library computer lab. Come hear about all of the wonderful opportunities the Navy has to offer, including tuition and scholarships for college. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.
Cuesta College will be offering a class at Nipomo High School called "Introduction to Workplace Readiness." The class begins Monday, October 21st, and will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:30 in the Forum. The class is free, and will focus on preparing for and keeping a job. It will give students 3 college credits and 10 (count 'em, TEN) high school credits. The class will last nine weeks. See your counselor if you are interested in the class, or show up to the first class session on Monday, October 21st.
Students! Good news!
Adult Education classes (also called Night School) are returning to Nipomo High School. Classes will be from 3:00 - 5:00 in the library computer lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays, taught by Mr. Carson. See your counselor to sign up, or show up the first day.
This is a great opportunity to make up credits conveniently right here at Nipomo High School.

Hey Titans! It’s that time of the year again! The Renaissance Pool Party is here – time to have fun in the sun with your friends while you enjoy some good food! It will be held on Friday October 18th from lunch through 6th period for all Renaissance members.

Community Service Opportunities
The Patrons of Port San Luis are hosting a Haunted Harbor House on Saturday, Oct. 19 (2-8pm). They are offering community services hours for juniors and seniors who can help with selling tickets, running games, etc. For details and to sign up, text or call Dorothy at 801-4875.
Community Service opportunity: Volunteer trail builders needed at Montaña De Oro State Park- (Oates Peak) see a NHS Conservation Club member, Mr. 'O' or meet at the Ranch House above Spooner’s Cove; 9:00am October 20, 2013 Sunday. Tools provided with snacks and beverages afterwards.
