General

Free Flu Mist for staff, family and students ages 2 – 49 today in room 5 from 3:30 – 5:30. If you don’t like shots, this is the way to go!

Didn’t buy your Rolling Thunder shirts last week? Don’t worry- you can still purchase them this week on the quad on Wednesday and Friday for $5! You’re not going to find a better deal than this, so don’t miss out!

The latest “Do You Know What You Owe?” list has been posted in the Activities Office. Please check it to see if you owe any debts to ASB. Remember, all debts must be paid to attend Winter Formal, Prom or to walk at graduation.

Whittier College was ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the most diverse liberal arts college in California. A representative from Whittier College will be here on Friday, Nov. 8th during 2nd period in the library computer lab, providing information on Academic Programs, student life and financial aid. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.

Clubs and Classes

There is a mandatory meeting today at lunch in room 118 for all French Clubbers. We will be discussing future events. New members are always welcome and you do not have to speak French or be in a French class to join.

Hey Titans - remember our canned food drive starts today and you are encouraged to bring cans daily. If you brought a can today, you will be entered into a drawing and will get a treat at lunch on the quad! Bring those cans!

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is inviting all girls to attend a new “Virtuous Women” Bible study and all boys to attend the “Lead like a King” Bible study. We will be meeting in the gym lobby at lunch. Pizza is provided.

ETS meets today a lunch in the library computer lab.

Key Club ~ come to a Magic Mountain meeting this Thursday at lunch in room 150.

Seniors

Senior t-shirt and sweatshirt order forms are available on the Activities Office counter. Shirts and sweatshirts are pre-sale only so be sure to get your order form and money in as soon as possible! Don’t miss out!

Sports

All girls interested in playing basketball - Try-Outs begin Tuesday, Nov. 12th and Wednesday, Nov. 13th from 5-7pm in the gym.

Congratulations to Kyra Meko for winning 1st place at the SLO County Cross Country Meet on Friday! Kyra is the defending Los Padres League Champion, but she now also wears the County Crown! Our Lady Titans finished 4th in County and our boys finished 5th. Please cheer on our Cross Country team this Thursday at League Finals in Santa Ynez.

Are you planning on trying out for the wrestling team? Weight class certification testing is after school this Thursday. Yes it's an early out. You will need a permission slip and data sheet in order to do the testing. See Mr. Gross for this paperwork if you plan on wrestling this season.

Tryouts for the NHS Girls’ Soccer Team for the 2013 -2014 season are being scheduled for November 12th though November 14th. Any girls interested in trying out for this year’s team must have their clearance packet completed and submitted to Coach Lee prior to Tuesday, November 12th.

For anyone interested in playing boys soccer this year, there are mandatory tryouts next week, starting with two practices, on Monday, November 11th from 10am-noon and from 5-7pm on the south side of the stadium. Please contact coach Vinnedge if you have any questions.
