General

Hey Students - Grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 - Do you have what it takes to be the Elks Lodge Teenager of the Month? This is an awesome honor to add to your resume and college applications. Also, one male and one female student will be chosen as the Teenager of the Year and each will receive a $2,000 scholarship. The forms are available in the Counseling Office file cabinet. See Mrs. Lattimer or Mrs. Carter for more information.

Hey NHS Titans! Are you curious about colleges and what they have to offer? Having trouble deciding what school will be best for you? Stop by the AVID College Fair, this Wednesday at lunch, and have the AVID Juniors help you increase your knowledge about the UC's and Cal-Poly. ALL are welcome!

Last Saturday, December 7, 56 Titans participated in showing their ‘Excellence’ by attending Saturday School and working with Mr. McConnell, Mr. Houchin, Mrs. Houchin, Mr. Rodrigues and Ms. Woodman to make school a top priority. Your hard work is applauded.

Be a part of those Titans who demonstrate their ‘Excellence’ by exceeding expectations as they prepare to earn top grades for their semester classes, by attending Saturday School this Saturday, December 14. Ms. Lopez, Mrs. Toshach, Mrs. Kritz and Mrs. King will all be here to assist. Saturday School Forms can be obtained at the Student Activities Counter.

If you have a December birthday, come to `the Quad and enjoy an ice cream sundae. Happy Birthday to you!

Hey Renaissance students! Are you ready for finals? Well, get pumped for finals, there will be hot cocoa and cookies given on the quad this Wednesday! Students will be released from 2nd period at 9:30 am! See you there!


Clubs and Classes

Juniors! If you want to help with Deck the Halls, meet in the ASB room at lunch today.

There will be a GSA meeting at lunch today in room 135.

FIDM will meet today at lunch in room 40A.

Attention AP Students:
It's that time of year again. A down payment of $20 for your spring AP exam is due by Tuesday, 12/17/13. If you have questions or are concerned about making your payment please see Mr. Dorn in room 142 ASAP. Order forms are available on the Activities Office counter.

NHS Theatre presents, "Rosencrantz & Gildenstern Are Dead". Come see your Titan Thespians at their best this Thursday, Friday and Saturday night in Olympic Hall. The door opens at 7:00 and the play begins at 7:30. See you there!

Nipomo High School Winter Music Concert will be performed tonight at 6:00pm in Olympic Hall. It will Feature the Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Pop Music Ensemble. Cost is $3 for Students/Faculty, $5 for Community members; children under 12 are admitted free with a parent. Holiday snacks will be available for purchase.

Community Service

Attention all Titans! Earn 3 hours community service! Creek Maintanance project is this Saturday at the Nipomo Creek near the Hideout Coffee Shop. Bring gardening equipment and shovels. We will meet at 9:00 am behind Pie Hole's Pizza. Fun and a sense of accomplishment guaranteed.

Seniors

Seniors! Nipomo Chamber of Commerce just might pick YOU for the STUDENT OF THE YEAR! If you've got what it takes, that is, leadership values, community service, career goals, etc., pick up an application from the Counseling Office. Sounds like the perfect opportunity to prove your Titan Pride to the community. One male and one female student will be chosen for the Student of the Year and will receive a $500.00 scholarship.

Attention all ladies interested in playing softball this spring - there is a mandatory meeting this Friday at lunch in Coach Paradis' room 40C.

Attention all Girl’s Volleyball team members~ Please return your uniforms as soon as possible to Mr. Souza. The cost of all unreturned items will be charged to your accounts at the end of next week.

Thinking about being on the track team this spring? On Friday, December 13th, there will be a track interest meeting at lunch in the gym.
