Winter Formal pictures are here! Please come to the Activities Office at break or lunch to pick yours up.

The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is now accepting applications from Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who earned high grades on last semester’s report card. You are eligible to apply and become a member of this prestigious group of California students if you earned mostly A’s and B’s on last December’s report card. Bring a copy of your report card (or current transcript) to room 107 and fill out an application to see if you qualify. If you do qualify, there is a $5 membership fee. Don’t miss this opportunity to join … the deadline to apply tomorrow, February 21st.

Could you be the first in your family to go to college!? Do you need help and assistance navigating the college admissions process?! If you answered yes to both of these questions you may be eligible to participate in Upward Bound. Upward Bound offers students help and assistance with understanding college admissions requirements, college applications, scholarships, and after-school tutoring. Pick up an application with Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office. You could be the first in your family to go to college!

Clubs and Classes

FNL meets in Deichler’s room 134 today at lunch.

Attention NHS: New Club on campus - the LEO club. The Leo Club is a service based club affiliated with the Nipomo Lions Club. This new club will have an introductory meeting on Tuesday, February 25th at lunch in the Forum. Come join Coach Edwards in the Forum at lunch on Tuesday and see what this club is all about.

NHS Drama auditions again! That's right, another chance to hit the stage with our Titan Players. This time, it's our spring musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This hilarious show about some quirky adolescents tackling a spelling bee will close out our theatre season in style. Full of bizarre characters, dynamite songs and true comedy gold, it performs May 8 - 17 in Olympic Hall. Auditions are today from 5:30 - 7:30. Sign-ups are outside room 110.


During National FFA Week (Feb.18-22) please put your spare change in teacher’s jars to purchase a heifer, goat, chicken and/or pig through Heifer International. The winning teacher (most $$) will be honored by having the opportunity to kiss a pig at lunch on this Friday!
