Clubs and Classes

Calling all talented Titans: Friday Night Live is hosting their annual Mock Rock Competition! You can perform any talent or lip sync performance. You can dance, sing, rap or take on any musical personality. If you want to show off your skills--whether real or impersonation, sign up on Mr. Deichler's door in room 134 by March 6th. If you are the top two winning acts of Nipomo's Mock Rock, you have a chance at competing county-wide for amazing prizes!!! Sign up NOW!

The Allan Hancock College STEM Center, located on the Santa Maria Campus, is hosting a STEM Open House Night of Discovery. It is for Juniors and Seniors who are planning to attend a community college and then transfer on to a university. It will be held on Wednesday April 16 from 5:30-8:00 PM in the Student Center, Room G-106B. Students and parents are welcome. There will be Financial Aid information, Transfer Pathways, Academic Advisors, Faculty, Student Panels and more. Students will get the chance to ask questions along with parents. A facility tour will be given and attendees will get to learn more about the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Program. To reserve a spot you can contact the STEM Center at 922-6966 ext. 3557.Reserve a spot no later than April 9.


Seniors

ATTENTION SENIORS!! Today is the LAST DAY for you to be included in the Cal Grant GPA Verification that is needed for your FAFSA. Please respond to the Forms that were directly sent to your classroom, if you did not have your social security number on file. If we do not hear from you today, your GPA verification will NOT be sent to Cal Grant.

There is still time to apply to Cuesta and for the Cuesta Promise scholarship as well. Remember, with the Cuesta Promise Scholarship, you can get all of your tuition paid for in the Fall...what a deal! A Cuesta Counselor will be here on Thursday from 10:30 - 12:30 in the library computer lab to assist you complete your Promise Scholarship application. Sign up in the counseling office if you are interested!


Community Service

CAMP HAPITOK is looking for responsible, dedicated students between the ages of 13 and 18 to serve as volunteer counselors this summer. CAMP HAPITOK is a four-week summer program for children with speech, language and hearing disorders. Volunteers will work with one child for the session. You can become the best friend, teacher and counselor to a child with special needs. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in careers in education. We especially need male volunteers. Please visit Mrs. Lattimer to pick up an application! Applications are due soon!
