General

This Friday, March 14th, ASB will be putting on a “Be the Change” banner lunch time event that will be held on the quad. If you believe this saying: “You should never judge a person until you walked a mile in their shoes,” then come walk across the banner with your feet painted and make the pledge to stop stereotyping. Free popcorn will be provided for those who participate.

Congratulations to Elvira Quintana who was awarded an “El Camino Art Association” scholarship! Her painting is now on display at the Clark Center. She will be honored by several SLO County Art organizations at the Clark Center atrium tonight @ 6:30. All are welcome to support Elvira and enjoy this free reception. Refreshments & music will be provided at this multi-medium high school student art show.

Stop by the library anytime this week to find the hidden leprechaun and win some GOLD!!

Attention Titans! Start saving your change for Pennies for Patients! It’ll begin THIS month on March 24th. Dig through your pockets, under the couch cushions, in the car, in your best friend’s pocket and in the depths of your backpack!

Clubs and Classes

LEO CLUB - 2nd meeting of the newest club on campus is today, Tuesday, at lunch in the Forum. So, grab your lunch and get to the Forum. Bring your completed club applications with you to turn in. Voting for Club Officers Today! See you in the forum. Coach Edwards

Attention all AP students - The balance of your AP Exam payment is due by March 21st. All free and reduced lunch students may be eligible for a reduction of their AP Exam fees as per CollegeBoard policy. If you have any questions about how much you owe please see Mr. Dorn in room 142 immediately.

Mock Rock participants – there is a MANDITORY meeting on Thursday, March 13th at lunch. You must be there in order to compete in next weeks show. Don’t forget, winners of Nipomo’s Mock Rock go on to countywide to win some awesome prizes! See you Thursday in Mr. Deichler’s room 134.

There is a GSA meeting today in room 135 at lunch.

Come check out the FIDM club in Mrs. Toshach’s room on Tuesdays at lunch if you’re interested in fashion design or in any kind of designing!

Film club is meeting today at lunch in room 40B. New members are always welcome.

Nipomo Theatre is returning yet again this year to the boards at Olympic Hall. This time, we produce Shakespeare's classic comedy of love and magic, and an unfortunately bad band of actors: A Midsummer Night's Dream.

March 13 - 15 and 20 – 22 at 7:30 pm
Advance tickets are $8 Students/Seniors and $10 Adults.
There will be a $2 surcharge at the door.

The Nipomo Food Bank distribution day this month is today from 3:30 – 6:00 PM. If you would like to volunteer, please call Janice Chagoya at 431-0601 or the Food Bank at 238- 0664.
