General

Blood drive today in Olympic Hall! Students who have signed up please come at your appointed time.

Attention all students! Looking to improve your grades? Need a quiet place to get your homework done afterschool? After school tutoring will be available in the library Monday through Friday from 3:00-4:00.

Tuesday, November 18th is the Nipomo Elementary Food Distribution Day-changed for this month only. First shift is from 1:30-2:30 (set-up), second shift 2:00-3:00 (unloading), third shift 2:30-4:00(packing), fourth shift (distribution) 4:00-6:00 and fifth shift (clean-up) 5:15-6:15.

Titans-Don’t forget to turn in your free or reduced lunch application forms to your 2nd period teacher. Once the form is turned in you will receive a ticket. Present that ticket on the quad at lunch today and tomorrow for a treat. Remember, the first class to get all of their applications in will win a donut party (and I hear Mr. Deichler is all about that.) Deadline for applications is Wednesday, November 19th.

Clubs and Classes

Come join the new Book Club! The first meeting is Thur., Nov. 20th at 7:15 in the library. Stop by to join and for a breakfast snack. Everyone who comes will get a FREE new book to keep - 7 titles to choose from!

Calling all senior artists! Do you have an idea for a senior shirt design? If so, turn in your design to Mr. McConnell in Room 113 by Wednesday, Nov. 20th.

Freshmen-interested in becoming involved in ASB Leadership on campus? Applications are due today to the Activities Office.

Our second student senate meeting of the year is on Tuesday, Nov. 18th during 2nd period in the forum. Representatives, please discuss with your class how they feel about the Titan PRIDE matrix and bring the results to the meeting. See you there!

Come “Cram the Van” out on the quad at break and lunch November 18-20th for the Canned Food Drive! Which class will donate the most? Seniors? Sophomores? Juniors? Freshmen? The winning class will get to leave 6th period early for a treat! Top 3 individuals who donate the most cans will win lunch from In n Out! If we match or exceed our donation amount from last year the whole school will get to leave 5 minutes early for lunch.

Seniors

Officer Farris from Navy NROTC will be on campus today at lunch in the Forum. Be sure to stop by and hear about all of the opportunities the NROTC has to offer, including college tuition and scholarships.

Seniors did you miss turning in your grad orders? Well you’re in luck! Josten’s will be back on Campus Nov. 17th and 18th at lunch for any of you who missed them the first time. Need a packet and order form? Extras can be found on the Activities Office counter.

Sports

Congratulations to Tylor Witcher for winning the title “Los Padres League Cross Country Champion” Congrats also goes to our Varsity Girls Cross Country team for going to CIF.

Come out and support our Titan Football team tonight as they take on the Bishop Montgomery Knights in the first round CIF playoff game! Our student spirit section, Mt. Olympus, will be located behind the goal posts tonight. Wear your Titan gear to show our Titan PRIDE!

Our Varsity Football team will be playing in the first round of CIF this Friday against Bishop Montgomery High School in our very own Titan Stadium! Game starts at 7:30 and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID. Your ASB card will not get you in for free so, even if you have an ASB card you must purchase a ticket for $5. Tickets will be sold in the Activities office today, tomorrow and Friday. Purchase your ticket early to avoid waiting in line on Friday! Go Titans!

Special announcement for all students attending the football game tonight…When our team is on offense and near the red zone closest to you, be quiet. When their offense is in the red zone closest to you, make some noise!

Interested in trying out for the Titan Cheer Team? Try outs will be held November 17-20 from 3-5 after school. Go online to the school website, find Cheer under Athletics and download the Spirit Packet. Turn in the Packet to Ms. Shakeri's room (129) by Monday, November 17. See Ms. Shakeri for more info!

Winter sport athletes – if you are trying out for a winter sport and have not purchased your Sports Clearance Packet, please do so at the Activities Office. You must have one on file to participate.

Staff

If you have the opportunity, please stop by Olympic Hall today to donate blood. It is not necessary to sign up ahead of time and when you get there, you can go to the head of the line.
