General


Get ready Titans for Love Out Loud week! Take the time each day to appreciate those around you starting Monday by buying a kindness gram for a friend for only $1.


Don’t forget to dress up for kindness week!

Thursday wear blue to represent “friendship”
Friday wear red to represent “take a walk in someone else’s shoes”
Also be sure to join us on the Quad for a week filled with events to help spread Kindness!


Prom Tickets go on sale Monday, April 27th. $40 with ASB sticker, $45 without. Prom is May 9th at Trilogy from 8 – 11pm. Guest passes are available on the Activities Office Counter and are due no later than May 1st at 4pm.


Tutoring is available Monday through Friday in the Library from 3:00 to 4:00.


Are you interested in learning more about working in a health care setting? Then join the Volunteen Program. Pick up your application in the Counseling Office. Application deadline is Friday, May 8th.


Special Olympics/Best Buddies. Please have all paperwork turned in by this Friday, April 24th if you plan on going to the Special Olympics on May 1st. We need a count for the bus. Turn paperwork in to Mrs. Lattimer in the counseling office. You need both your Special Olympics permission slip AND the field trip permission slip.


Clubs and Classes


The Book Club meeting is next Thursday, April 30th at 7:15am in the library. The theme is Graphic Novels and everyone who attends will receive a FREE BOOK!!! We are currently taking orders for club t-shirts. Please see Mrs. Matsuura in the library for details.


Juniors and Seniors: A representative from the Navy ROTC will be on campus today. He will be on the quad at lunch and also be giving a presentation in the forum during 5th period. Come hear about all of the opportunities the ROTC has to offer, including full college tuition and benefits worth $180,000. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.


Please Support NHS Drama (Scotland) and eat at Me N Ed’s tonight anytime between 5-9. You may pick up a flyer on the counter in the Activities Office. Bring the flyer (or mention it when you order and give it to the delivery driver) and Drama will receive 15% of your Pizza order, so order LOTS of Pizza! And please spread the word to your friends, neighbors. Thank you for your support!


Seniors


All preordered graduation items (invitations, caps, gowns, etc.) will be distributed Monday, April 27th at lunch outside of Olympic Hall on the quad.


If you have not ordered your cap and gown, get the form from the counter in the Activities Office or go to www.centralcalgrads.com . Time is running out!!!


Any seniors interested in attending Cuesta College next year? If so, join Cuesta College today for Assessment Testing. Sign up in the counseling office. See Mr. Hubbell or Mrs. Lewis if you have any questions.


Hey Seniors! DO you have an amazing talent? If so, and you would like to display that talent, then come try out for Senior Showcase on May 14th in the Forum after school. If you have any questions, please talk to Mr. McConnell.


If you are planning to attend Allan Hancock College next year the following information is incredibly important ---The NHS counseling department is providing Registration & an Online Orientation for seniors to make their transition to Hancock smoother. Seniors will have two opportunities to sign-up for the registration & online orientation April 24th. Students MUST sign up in the counseling office. NHS will also offer START placement testing. More information to come. Remember, priority registration for fall 2015 classes begins May 13th. Make sure you have everything done prior to this date. See Mr. Hubbell or Mrs. Lewis if you have any questions.


Attention College Bound Seniors! Please give copies of any and all acceptance letters you have received from colleges or universities to your Gov’t/Econ teacher by Friday, April 24th. These letters will be posted around NHS to promote your high school achievement. Titan Pride!
