General

A message from NHS Administration to Students! Please do not leave your belongings unsupervised. Unfortunately, at times textbooks and other expensive items are lost and it becomes very difficult to recover them.

Would you like to spin the wheel of fortune? Would you like to win Titan gear, local gift cards or other prizes? Anyone with no tardies for the week will be entered in a drawing to spin the wheel of fortune at lunch on Friday. Remember ... no tardies means earning prizes! Drawing starts over each week.

After School tutoring is available Monday through Thursday from 3:00-4:00 in the Library. Come get help from a teacher-tutor or just come to find a quiet place to do your homework.

There will be no afterschool tutoring today.

Come on out to the gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for some Intramural pick-up basketball. Sports offered will rotate depending on student interest. All are invited to join in.

Parking permits are available for $15 in the Activities Office. Non permitted vehicles will be ticketed. Reminder – student parking area is in front of the gym.

Cal Lutheran University, located in Thousand Oaks, is rated one of the top universities in the west. Its goal is to educate leaders for a global economy, with a commitment to service and justice. A representative from Cal Lutheran will be in the library during 4th per. On Monday, 9/21. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.


Clubs and Classes
Seeking advice and answers? You are in luck! Titan Woman is back! Leave your questions and curiosities in the box in the Activities Office to be answered by the Titan Woman and featured in the school newspaper.

What is CSF? California Scholarship Federation (CSF) is a statewide organization which honors outstanding high school students for their academic excellence. If you qualify for four or more semesters you can wear a gold sash at graduation. Students must apply every semester starting their sophomore year. If you earned mostly A's Spring semester last year you may qualify. Pick up an application in room 138 or from the attendance office. Deadline to apply is October 2nd.

Attention students and staff – NHS Theatre Company and AGHS Theatre Company present the 3rd Annual Red Eye Festival. Join us this Saturday, September 19th at 8pm in Olympic Hall for an evening of high comedy and intense drama featuring some of the Central Coast’s finest student actors. Tickets are available at the door and are $10 for adults and $8 for students/seniors. We hope to see you there!

The ACT college admissions test is being offered here at Nipomo High School on October 24th. Did you know the ACT is the nation's #1 college entrance exam? The deadline to apply for the test is September 18th. Sign up at actstudent.org or see your counselor for more details.

Community Service
