General

Library News: The winner of last Friday’s Loot Crate drawing is Tarahann Todd! Congratulations Tarahann…stop by the library to pick out your prize. Remember every time you return your library book on time you can enter to win a prize from Mrs. Matsuura’s Loot Crate Prize cabinet!! A winner is drawn every Friday.

Hey Titans! If your birthday is during the month of October, come to the quad for a birthday sundae on Wednesday!

Halloween is just around the corner and what’s scarier than buying a yearbook and then not being in it? Purchase your yearbook on or before October 31st and the yearbook staff guarantees you’ll be in the book at least 3 times or your money back! Prices are currently $65 with an ASB sticker and $70 without. Prices will go up November 1st.

There are still school pictures that have not been picked up. Please come get yours if you paid for them!

Picture retake day is this Thursday, the 22nd. If you missed the first picture day, please get a form from the office to get your picture taken. If you want retakes, pick up your proofs from the Activities Office and a reorder form.

Free Flu Clinics are being offered for LMUSD students and their families at the following locations:
Oceano Community Center on October 20th from 3-4:30pm
Dana Elementary library on October 21st from 3-4:30pm
AGHS Admin Building on October 27th from 3-4:30pm

Clubs and Classes
Attention Juniors and Seniors! Come to SLO County College Night at Cuesta College and attend free workshops on important topics like paying for college, completing a college application, and how to transfer to a four year university. There will be free giveaways and much more! Monday, November 2nd from 5:30-8:00pm. Bus will be leaving Nipomo High School at 4:45pm. Visit the Counseling Office to sign up!

Throughout the month of October you can help prevent tetanus by donating to “Trick or Treat for Unicef.” Look for a Key Club member with an orange box that says, “Trick or Treat for Unicef” to donate your coins!

Are you interested in banking or finance? Still trying to figure out what career path to take after high school? Come to the Forum today, October 19th to hear a guest speaker from 10:00-10:30. Vice President at Community West Bank will be here to share information about a career in banking and answer any questions. Sign up in the Counseling office today!

Seniors

Order your shirt or hoodie now! Get order forms from your Gov’t or Econ teacher and turn in your order form and payment to Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office by October 28th.

Planning on playing sports this year? Be sure to purchase your Sports Clearance Packet in the Activities Office. The $40 you pay includes the cost of your ASB card!
