General

Halloween is just around the corner and what’s scarier than buying a yearbook and then not being in it? Purchase your yearbook on or before October 31st and the yearbook staff guarantees you’ll be in the book at least 3 times or your money back! Prices are currently $65 with an ASB sticker and $70 without. Prices will go up November 1st.

Titans, don't forget about "Higher Ed Thursdays"... support higher education by wearing college gear or post-high school gear (i.e. fire academy, military, culinary, etc.) EVERY THURSDAY. In accordance with our school's dress code policy please no mascots. Go ahead and dig out your favorite college/higher ed sweatshirt or t-shirt for Thursday!

Project Teen Health's kick-start workouts start today! You will gain energy, build muscle, and improve your endurance during this fun workout that incorporates weights, cardio, and core exercises. All students of all fitness levels are encouraged to come try it out! See you today from 3-4 in room 103!

Interested in our environment and air quality? Join us in the Forum, November 2nd to hear guest speaker Meghan Field speak from 10:00-10:30. Meghan Field is an Air Quality Specialist from San Luis Obispo Air Pollution Control District and she will be here to answer any questions. Sign Up in the Counseling office today!

Clubs and Classes

Don’t miss the first NHS Choir Concert tomorrow night at 7:00pm in Olympic Hall! This will be a collaborative concert with the NHS and Fresno Christian High School Choirs. The program will feature American folksongs and the music of Coldplay. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults.

Red Ribbon Week continues with the Love Yourself and Drive Safely Day. Come to the quad to see play Mario Kart under very distracting circumstances! Not a gamer, try our remote control obstacle course! Don't forget to Love Yourself and promote positivity. See you at lunch!

Come on out and test your Frisbee skills every Friday from 3:00- 5:00 on the athletic fields.
“Trick or Treat for Unicef” this month! Look for a Key Club member with an orange box marked Unicef to donate your loose change.

ATTENTION Seniors and Zealous Juniors: Are you planning to attend a four-year university? Come to SLO County College Night at Cuesta. The bus leaves NHS at 4:45 and you will be back at NHS by 8 p.m. You will meet representatives from UCs and California State Universities. This is a great night to ask questions and find out more about attending the university of your dreams! Sign-up in the counseling office today!!

Seniors

Jostens will be on campus today and Friday during lunch. Girls orders are due today and boys orders are due Friday. All you need is a $60 deposit to order all of your graduation items and your ring. Packets are available on the Activities Office Counter if you did not get one in class.

Seniors! We have two scholarship opportunities just waiting for your application. Both the Nipomo Chamber of Commerce and Oceano/Five Cities Elks Lodge are looking for Seniors of the year FROM NIPOMO HIGH SCHOOL. Applications are in the "Scholarship Central" filing cabinet in front of Mrs. Lattimer's desk. Applications are due to Mrs. Conrad November 6th. Get yours today!

Order your shirt or hoodie now! Get order forms from your Gov’t or Econ teacher and turn in your order form and payment to Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office by today. Order forms are available on the Activities Office counter.

Community Service

We are in need of volunteers for community service hours at Nipomo Park this Saturday, October 31, and a couple of days in November. Nipomo Cowboy Snack Bar will be open from 9 am to 2 pm. (Snack bar help, emptying trash cans, chain crew). See Mrs. Mendez in the office to sign up.

Sports

Planning on playing sports this year? Be sure to purchase your Sports Clearance Packet in the Activities Office. The $40 you pay includes the cost of your ASB card!
