General

Hey students! What are you doing next week? Coming to school on Monday AND Tuesday. Wednesday is a school holiday in honor of Veteran's Day. Repeating that . . . school is in session on Monday AND Tuesday. No school on Wednesday in honor of Veteran's Day. Keep up to date by checking the school calendar on the Titan website!

A reminder to Students still needing to turn in Emergency Cards, they are to be turned in to the Nurses Office NO later than Tuesday, November 10th.

With Thanksgiving Day fast approaching, let’s come together as a school to give canned and non-perishable food to those who need it most. Starting Monday, November 9th through Thursday, November 19th bring your canned and non-perishable foods out to the quad before school, at break or lunch. For every 5 cans you bring, you become eligible to enter a raffle for a free Disneyland ticket.

Whittier College is a private Liberal Arts college located in Southern California, with a nationally recognized curriculum. A representative from Whittier College will be on campus this today, Nov. 6 during 2nd per. in the library. Presentation passes and a signup sheet are available in the library.

Westmont College is a nationally ranked Christian Liberal Arts college located in the scenic foothills of Santa Barbara. An admissions counselor will be on campus today during 3rd period in the library to discuss Westmont's top-ranked academics, study abroad opportunities, scholarships and more.

A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.

Clubs and Classes

Attention students and staff: NHS Theater Company presents the hilarious comedy 'The Nerd.' The show will run on Friday and Saturday, November 13th and 14th 7 p.m. in Olympic Hall. There will also be a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday the 14th. Shows will continue on Friday and Saturday, November 20th and 21st at 7. p.m. There will also be a matinee on Saturday the 21st at 2 p.m. Tickets at the door are $10 General Admission and $8 for students and seniors. We hope to see you there!"

Key Club will be meeting on Tuesday, November 10th, at lunch in room 150 to finalize plans for Magic Mountain/Fall Rally Trip.

Community Service

Need Community Service Hours, then this could work for you! The Food Bank delivers, organizes, packages and distributes food to the less fortunate, the second Tuesday of each month, at Nipomo Elementary. We are looking for HS students to come help out this Tuesday from 4-6 pm. Need more information? Contact Rosemary Cleaves @ [email protected] or call 860-951-2100. Sports

Congratulations to Joseph Gocke, Rogelio Flores, Josue Navarro, Garrett Morgan, Devin Diaz, Raul Angeles, and Jesus Hinojosa Perez for their 2nd place finish at the Cross Country League Championships. Congratulations also to the Girls team of Mackenzie Wisneski, Flor Hernandez, Lauren Illiff, Madrid Holland, Adria Kimball, Vanessa Veloz, and Kimberly Knollenberg for their 3rd place finish. The Boys team has qualified for the Cross Country CIF Prelims at Mt. SAC for the 1st time ever! The Girls team also qualified for only the 2nd time in the school’s history! Great job TITANS!

Planning on playing sports this year? Be sure to purchase your Sports Clearance Packet in the Activities Office. The $40 you pay includes the cost of your ASB card!

Attention: Boys Soccer Try Outs will be held the rest of this week, up until Friday, November 6th. Meet on the South side of the Stadium 3:30 - 5 pm. Student/athletes must be cleared by the Athletic Office. Bring running shoes and all soccer equipment. Questions? See Coach Veloz in Rm 115
