It’s Winter Week! The spirit days are as follows:
Today is pajama day. Hot Coca will be served on the quad at lunch.
Tuesday is Christmas Accessory day and there will be a cookie decorating contest on the quad at lunch.
Wednesday dress up in holiday colors.
Thursday is Winter White Out. Wear all white and come out the quad to decorate your very own, personalized ugly sweater.
Friday is Ugly Sweater day. Come to the quad a lunch for the Ugly Sweater competition and walk the red carpet!
Hey there December birthday people! If the cold never bothered you anyway, then come out to the quad this Wednesday for an ice cream treat!
Have you ever been super jealous of someone’s awesomely ugly holiday sweater? Well you’re in luck! Bring a sweater to the quad at lunch on Thursday to decorate for our ugly sweater spirit day Friday! Then make sure to model that rad sweater Friday in our ugly sweater contest!

Clubs and Classes
Library news: This Thursday morning Book Club will be having its December meeting. Join us at 7am in the library to discuss the books you read last month and pick out this month's selection. Book Club's December genre is Graphic Novels.
Students! Cuesta College is offering a class 2nd semester on the Nipomo High School campus called "Introduction to Workplace Readiness. You can earn 10 elective credits by taking this class which meets two days a week after school from 3:00 - 5:30. See your counselor for more information.
Come join the NHS Music Department Tuesday, December 8th for the Winter Music Concert! This fun performance will feature the NHS Choir, Pop Music Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Combo, and Percussion Ensemble playing the music of Ed Sheeran, Hozier, and many holiday favorites. The concert begins at 6:00p in Olympic Hall - tickets are $5 for Students/Staff, $7 for Adults. Come support great music at NHS on Tuesday at 6:00pm!
Upward Bound will be having a lunch meeting Tuesday the 8th in the Library to thank you for your hard academic work this semester and to wish you good luck on your studying for finals and to wish you a very happy holiday season!

Community Service
Salvation Army is looking for some students to be Bell Ringers during the holidays. The dates are through December 24th. If you are interested, please call 904-7549 to get on the schedule.
Foodbank Food distribution on Tuesday December 8, 2015! Distribution will be at Nipomo Elementary School, 190 E. Price Street in Nipomo. They are hoping to get a few more students to help after school! Organizing starts at 1:30 and goes until about 6:15. If you can help out, please let Mrs. Teixeira know which shift or shifts you'd like to work. All help is greatly appreciated. Help is needed with all shifts:
First shift: 1:30 - 2:30 set-up
Second shift: 2:00 - 3:00 unloading
Third shift: 2:30 - 4:00 packing
Fourth shift: 4:00 - 6:00 distribution
Fifth shift: 5:15 - 6:15 clean up
Sports
There will be a track interest meeting at lunch in the gym on Wednesday. Anyone interested in doing track this spring, please come.
Boys and Girls Tennis players! Come out to the courts Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 – 5:00 for open practice.
