Clubs and Classes
Upperclassmen! There will be a World History class taught after school taught by Mr. Houchin starting next Tuesday, January 19. The class will run from 3:15 - 5:00 Monday through Thursday. This is a great opportunity to make up World History classes WITHOUT going to summer school! Wouldn't you rather be surfing and sleeping in during the summer? See your counselor to sign up!
There is still time to sign up for the Cuesta College Class "Introduction to Workplace Readiness" class taught right here at Nipomo High School. The class will give you ten (count 'em, 10!) high school elective credits and teach you important information about how to find and keep a job. The class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 in Room 128. See your counselor for more information.
Hablas Espanol? Do you speak Spanish? There will a Spanish I class offered at Nipomo High School from 3:00 - 5:00 Monday through Thursday, starting soon, (or pronto, as they say in Spanish).Sign up for the class in the counseling office.
If you are enrolled in Independent Study Health, you must attend a mandatory meeting Tuesday, January 19th in room 117 at lunch. If you don’t attend this meeting, you will be dropped from the class.

Who wants to make hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars in one hour! I'm talking to you seniors. The NHS Scholarship application is live and ready for your one hour of hard work to be eligible for loads of local scholarships. Applications are available on our website in the Academics Tab under scholarships or in the counseling office. The sooner you turn yours in the more scholarships will be available to you! Do yours this break!
Tickets for this year’s Grad Nite trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Studios go on sale next week for $80.00, which includes the cost of transportation. Tickets to Hogwarts are limited to 150 students and if you intend to go, we suggest you get to platform 9 ¾ as early as possible. Don’t be a lame muggle, this is a once in a lifetime chance!
