Titans, we are continuing "Higher Ed Thursdays" at NHS! Help us support higher education by wearing college gear or post-high school gear (i.e. fire academy, military, culinary, etc.) every Thursday. In accordance with our school's dress code policy please no mascots. Go ahead and dig out your favorite college/higher ed sweatshirt or t-shirt! Remember to wear your higher ed gear every Thursday!

Did you get your driver’s license or a new car over the break? Be sure to buy your parking permit in the Activities Office for $15.00. All vehicles on campus must have a parking permit.
Attention students and staff: NHS Theater Co. proudly presents the classic Greek tragedy 'Medea.' Join us for an evening of intense emotion and powerful acting starting this Friday at 7 p.m. in Olympic Hall. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Shows will follow this Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Come out and support these awesome actors!

There is still time to sign up for the Cuesta College Class "Introduction to Workplace Readiness" class taught right here at Nipomo High School. The class will give you ten (count 'em, 10!) hHhigh school elective credits and teach you important information about how to find and keep a job. The class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 in Room 128. See your counselor for more information.
Hablas Espanol? Do you speak Spanish? There will a Spanish I class offered at Nipomo High School from 3:00 - 5:00 Monday through Thursday, starting soon, (or pronto, as they say in Spanish).Sign up for the class in the counseling office.

Seniors

Who wants to make hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars in one hour! I'm talking to you seniors. The NHS Scholarship application is live and ready for your one hour of hard work to be eligible for loads of local scholarships. Applications are available on our website in the Academics Tab under scholarships or in the counseling office. The sooner you turn yours in the more scholarships will be available to you!
Seniors! Scholarship opportunities and deadlines are coming up quickly! The California Retired Teachers Association, Delta Theta Chi and CIF Farmers Scholar Athlete Scholarships are worth thousands of dollars and are due the first two weeks of February. Check out our website under Academics, Scholarships or the Scholarship filing cabinet in the counseling office ASAP for your copies!
Tickets for this year’s Grad Nite trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Studios go on this week for $80.00, which includes the cost for transportation. Tickets to Hogwarts are limited to 150 students.
Community Service
This is the last day to sign up to save a life! Come to the quad at lunch to sign up for the blood drive. Remember everybody, you’re someone’s type!

Planning on playing a spring sport? Be sure to have your Sports Clearance packet on file! You may purchase one in the Activities Office for $40 if you do not already have one for this year.
