This is Winter Spirit Week culminating on Friday with our Battle of the Sexes Rally. Next week's dress-up days are as follows:

Monday-Sports Day

Tuesday-Boy/Girl Twin Day

Wednesday-Surfer/Hawaiin (girls)/All-American/patriotic (boys) Day

Thursday-Hippie (girls)/Camo (boys) Day



Friday-Battle of the Sexes-Pink (girls) and Blue (boys) Day



Attention Titans! Can you imagine a world engulfed in trach? Try to do your part today by picking up trash and leaving Nipomo High’s campus cleaner than you left it! And remember Titans, “Every Monday Matters!”

Library News: The winner of last Friday’s Loot Crate drawing is Robert Jordan! Congratulations Robert…stop by the library to pick out your prize. Remember every time you return your library book on time you can enter to win a prize from Mrs. Matsuura’s Loot Crate Prize cabinet!! A winner is drawn every Friday.

Winter Formal is Saturday, February 6th. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, January 27th. Prices are $20 with an ASB sticker, $25 without and $30 at the door. Guest passes are available now on the Activities Office Counter. They are due no later than January 29th.

Reminder: Student debts and library and textbook obligations must be taken care of before you can purchase a Winter Formal ticket or a Grad Nite ticket. See the “Do You Know What You Owe” list posted at the Activities and Attendance offices.

Hey Titans! Want to win Jamba Juice for you and two friends? During our Winter Week, keep your eye out for the hidden rubber duck. If you find it, bring the duck to the quad or the rally at lunch. Your rally team will also be awarded 500 points that will be toward a larger prize to be given after the rally!

Hey Team Blue and Team Pink! Make sure to come out the quad at lunch Monday through Thursday this week to compete in some epic competitions and earn points for your team to earn the ultimate prize after Friday’s rally! Will it be Team Blue or Team Pink?



Clubs and Classes



Hey Key Club! Come and bring one new member with you to our lunch meeting on Tuesday in Hatfield’s room, 150. Hear about scholarship info, leadership opportunities and eat some pizza!!



GSA will meet Tuesday at lunch in room 135. Everyone is welcome to attend.



Upward Bound Tutoring begins on Tuesday, January 26th in the Library at 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Come meet Ariana!



Seniors



If you purchased a Senior shirt or sweatshirt and did not pick it up last week, come get it outside of Mrs. Teixeira’s office tomorrow at break or lunch.



Are you planning on going to Hancock College next year? Mr. Hubbell and Mrs. Kia will be holding an application workshop today during 5th and 6th period in the Library Computer Lab. You will leave with your Hancock application done and be ready for Hancock Assessment testing in February. Sign up for the workshop in the counseling office. If you can't make it on Monday, see your counselor for an individual appointment. Please know or bring your social security # with you.



The NHS Scholarship application is available on our website in the Academics Tab under scholarships or in the counseling office. The sooner you turn yours in the more scholarships will be available to you!



Seniors! Scholarship opportunities and deadlines are coming up quickly! The California Retired Teachers Association, Delta Theta Chi and CIF Farmers Scholar Athlete Scholarships are worth thousands of dollars and are due the first two weeks of February. Check out our website under Academics, Scholarships or the Scholarship filing cabinet in the counseling office ASAP for your copies!



Tickets for this year’s Grad Nite trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Studios go on this week for $80.00, which includes the cost for transportation. Tickets to Hogwarts are limited to 150 students.

Planning on playing a spring sport? Be sure to have your Sports Clearance packet on file! You may purchase one in the Activities Office for $40 if you do not already have one for this year.
