General



The spirit days for the rest of the week are:

Winter Formal is Saturday, February 6th. Tickets will go on sale today, and will be sold until 3pm Friday, February 5th. Prices are $20 with an ASB sticker, $25 without and $30 with ASB and $35 without at the door. Don’t hide under your mask, come to the dance!

If you are bringing a guest from another school to Winter Formal, you will need a guest pass. Guest passes are available now on the Activities Office Counter. They are due no later than January 29th. Completed passes must be turned in to your administrator in the counseling office for final approval.

Reminder: Student debts and library and textbook obligations must be taken care of before you can purchase a Winter Formal ticket or a Grad Nite ticket. See the updated “Do You Know What You Owe” list posted at the Activities and Attendance offices.

Hey Titans! Want to win Jamba Juice for you and two friends? During our Winter Week, keep your eye out for the hidden rubber duck. If you find it, bring the duck to the quad or the rally at lunch. Your rally team will also be awarded 500 points that will be toward a larger prize to be given after the rally!

Hey Team Blue and Team Pink! Don’t forget to participate in our Lunch Time Activities (LTA’S) every day this week on the quad to earn points for your team to win the ultimate prize after Friday’s rally. Winners of today’s LTA get 500 points for their gender.



Clubs and Classes



Friday Night Live has a meeting today in room 126. If you’re looking for a leadership opportunity that helps the community, come to 126 at lunch today to join the fun!



Calling all Renaissance Scholars! If you had above a 3.0 or improved your GPA by .5 points or more, you qualify for Renaissance. Pick up your application in the counseling office and return to Mrs. Lattimer to receive special perks to celebrate your academic success by February 11th



Do you like Reggaeton? Hip Hop? Bachata? If you answered yes, then come to the dance room today after school starting at 4pm-6pm! Come enjoy an hour of Zumba with CAPSLO's Project Teen Health and Youth Leadership Council. Afterwards we will enjoy a healthy delicious dinner. You can also earn community service hours for participating! The first 15 will receive a free stainless steel water bottle and a chap-stick. Seniors



The NHS Scholarship application is available on our website in the Academics Tab under scholarships or in the counseling office. The sooner you turn yours in the more scholarships will be available to you!





Seniors! Do you need Cash for College? Four year college? Community College? Trade and Vocational Schools? Then you should come to the "Cash for College" Night next Wednesday, February 3rd, from 4:00 - 8:00 in the NHS library. You can drop in anytime with your parents and if you bring the required documents, you'll be done with your FAFSA in less than an hour! How cool is that?



Tickets for this year’s Grad Nite trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Studios go on this week for $80.00, which includes the cost for transportation. There are 100 tickets left.



Community Service





Sports



Attention boys interested in playing volleyball this year. You should play because it will be a blast! Stop by Ms. Stephenson's room 129 today during the first 5 minutes of lunch to sign up and pick up important information!



Track and Field Athletes who are sprinters and jumpers, Coach Rucker will begin afterschool workouts today from 3:15 to 4:30 on the track.



Your Titans Boys Varsity Wrestling Team will be wrestling against Lompoc High and Santa Maria High School for the league title tonight at 5pm in the gym. Come and support the boys wrestling team as they battle for league. This is a huge match and our team would love to have as many students as possible to show Titan Pride and motivate your Varsity Wrestling team to victory!!! We want the whole school there!

Girls and Boys tennis players are encouraged to come out to the courts after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 – 5:00 for some open practice.
