Tired of that loose change making your wallet heavy? Bring your change to your 2nd period class starting Monday the 22nd through Friday the 26th for Pennies for Patients. Pennies for Patients is an organization that funds the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Thanks to fundraising efforts like this, survival rates have doubles, tripled and quadrupled! Whichever 2nd period class as the most “pennies” by Friday wins root beer floats for their class!



Hey Titans! Remember that every Friday is Titan Friday, so wear your Titan gear or Titan colors and show your pride!



Clubs and Classes



Attention Leo Club members and students who want to get involved with the community and earn community service hours! There is a meeting today in front of the forum at lunch where a corn hole tournament will take place.



Freshmen...The PSAT 10 test will be offered here at Nipomo High School on Wednesday, February 24th, 2nd through 4th periods. The PSAT 10 is the practice test for the SAT, and is designed to be taken by freshmen in the spring of the 9th grade year. Tickets are $20.00, and can be purchased in the Activities Office. This is a great opportunity to see how well you are prepared for college and the actual SAT which you will take your junior year.



Come out and test your Frisbee skills every Friday from 3-5:00 on the athletic fields!



To register for AP Exams, go to nhstitans.org, click on the Academics Tab, and select Advanced Placement Exams to register and pay today.



Seniors



The Class of 2016 Senior Panoramic photo will be taken today in the stadium at noon. Order forms are available from our Government or Econ teacher, or from Mrs. Hatfield in room 150. If you want to buy a copy, please bring your order form and payment with you the day of the photo.



Attention Seniors! Are you ready to pull an all-nighter? Not to cram for an exam, but for Senior Lock In! Come to the gym February 26th at 10pm for a night filled with fun activities and food. Hope to see you all there!



Seniors who are going to Cuesta next year - the deadline to apply for the Cuesta Promise Scholarship is March 2nd. Cuesta will pay all of your tuition for the first year, but only if you get the FAFSA and Cuesta promise scholarship application done by March 2nd. The application is available in the Cuesta website. See your counselor if you need help. Hey, it's only money!



Seniors who are going to Hancock next year - there will be a new student orientation in the forum this Friday, February 19th. This is one of the steps necessary for you to get priority registration. Sign up in the counseling office for a spot. Additionally, the Hancock placement test (START) will be offered here at Nipomo High on Friday, March 26th during 5th and 6th period. This is also necessary for priority registration. Sign up in the counseling office.

Community Service



Destination Imagination Regional Tournament needs volunteers to be score room runners for our tournament at AGHS on Saturday Feb 27th. Many shifts available depending on hours needed. Sports





Boys Tennis tryouts are this week through next Thursday from 3-5pm. Beginners welcome.



All interested in playing baseball this season, come out to the baseball field today for tryouts 3:10. All grades are welcome. Be sure to have a current sports clearance packet on file.
