Keep yourselves informed on your attendance, financial obligations, and grades; check your homelink accounts or look up your information in the reports mentioned before. Knowledge is power. This is the last day to guarantee your copy of the 2016 yearbook or to personalize the cover. All sales after the 19th are filled on a first come, first served basis. Current prices are $75 without an ASB sticker and $70 with an ASB sticker. Prices go up February 20th. Buy Today!



Tired of that loose change making your wallet heavy? Bring your change to your 2nd period class starting Monday the 22nd through Friday the 26th for Pennies for Patients. Pennies for Patients is an organization that funds the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Thanks to fundraising efforts like this, survival rates have doubles, tripled and quadrupled! Whichever 2nd period class as the most “pennies” by Friday wins root beer floats for their class!







Clubs and Classes





Freshmen...The PSAT 10 test will be offered here at Nipomo High School on Wednesday, February 24th, 2nd through 4th periods. The PSAT 10 is the practice test for the SAT, and is designed to be taken by freshmen in the spring of the 9th grade year. Tickets are $20.00, and can be purchased in the Activities Office. This is a great opportunity to see how well you are prepared for college and the actual SAT which you will take your junior year.





Come out and test your Frisbee skills every Friday from 3-5:00 on the athletic fields!





To register for AP Exams, go to nhstitans.org, click on the Academics Tab, and select Advanced Placement Exams to register and pay today.





Seniors





Seniors who are going to Cuesta next year - the deadline to apply for the Cuesta Promise Scholarship is March 2nd. Cuesta will pay all of your tuition for the first year, but only if you get the FAFSA and Cuesta promise scholarship application done by March 2nd. The application is available in the Cuesta website. See your counselor if you need help. Hey, it's only money!



Seniors who are going to Hancock next year - there will be a new student orientation in the forum today. This is one of the steps necessary for you to get priority registration. Sign up in the counseling office for a spot. Additionally, the Hancock placement test (START) will be offered here at Nipomo High on Friday, March 26th during 5th and 6th period. This is also necessary for priority registration. Sign up in the counseling office.

Boys Tennis tryouts are this week through next Thursday from 3-5pm. Beginners welcome.



Come on out to the gym tonight to cheer on our Titan Boys Basketball team as they take on Serra in their second round of CIF playoff games! Good Luck NHS Basketball!!!
