Juniors and Seniors - A representative from the Navy ROTC will be on campus this Thursday during 5th per. in the Forum. Come hear about all the wonderful benefits the ROTC has to offer, including travel, college tuition, and a $180,000 Scholarship opportunity. Are you interested in graphic design, photography, journalism or marketing? Do you want to have a part in creating the 2017 NHS yearbook? Applications are available from your counselor and are due to Ms. Hatfield no later than March 18th. Come join our team….we’re a lot of fun.
The Educate Si Se Puede Conference for Latino and Latina high school students will be held at Cuesta College on Friday, March 18th from 9:00 - 2:00. There will be exciting workshops, entertainment, and a free lunch! Nipomo High School will be providing bus transportation to the event. See Mr. Hubbell in Room 128 at lunch on Thursday or Friday to register for the event. All participants will receive a free Si Se Puede T-shirt.
We need your green. NHS Titan Robotics is having a Tri-Tip Sandwich BBQ. Order your sandwich, chip, and drink for $10 from Mr. Gracia in room 106 by Wednesday March 9 and help us get to the National or World VEX Robotic Championships. Then come by school on Friday, March 11th to pick up your meal.
Hey all you silly, witty, and funny people! Reminder: Improv Troupe auditions are today and Wednesday, March 9th from 3:30-4:30 in Miss Smoot's room at New Tech (Room 919). You only have to come to one of the days to audition. Sign-ups are on Miss Mitchell's door and Miss Smoot's door at New Tech and on Mr. Holden's door at Nipomo High School. It’s that time again! Special Olympics! The Special Olympics will be held on May 6th. Please come support your Nipomo athletes if you are free! If you are interested in purchasing one of our shirts to support the students of room 200, please see Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office. Sizes run from adult small to 2XL and will cost $10.00. Shirts go on sale March 1st!
Last call for AP registration and payment. If you are planning on taking one or more AP exams you must register and pay by Friday, 3/11. Deadline to request financial aid or free/reduced lunch prices is Wednesday, 3/9. You don't register, you don't take the exams so register today.

Attention Seniors! If you are interested in going to our Grad Nite at Harry Potter World, you have until the end of next week to get yourself signed up. If you need help getting the money together, see Mr. McConnell in room #113. Again, time and space is limited, so sign up by next week or miss out on this fun opportunity!
Seniors who took the Hancock College START Placement test--
There will be an Academic Advising Workshop during 1st period on Monday, March 14th (from 9:00-9:45). After attending the presentation, students will meet individually with the Hancock Counselors to plan their schedule for next year. Sign up for your individual appointment in the Nipomo High Counseling office. Bring your START Placement results with you to your appointment.

Community Service
The Food Bank will be handing out food at Nipomo Elementary today, March 8th from 3 to 6pm. Volunteers are greatly appreciated.
Need to earn community service hours? All students are invited to the Nipomo Native Garden & Cesar Chavez Park on March 12th from 9am until noon for a fun workday. Bring your gloves and garden tools and show up ready to work! There will be pizza provided by Me ‘n Ed’s at noon with soft drinks provided by Vons.
